- Big beds
- Clean rooms
- Breakfast on the room top fantastic
- Staff very friendly and helpful
- Great spot to explore Stone Town from
- If it's your first time in Stone Town just be warned it's a maze, and very easy to get lost.

The Safari Lodge was my "homebase" while I was exploring Zanzibar. I spent several nights there. It is a very safe and clean place in the centre of Stone Town. There is a roof top which I used as my personal one for reading and relaxing.
Mr Patrick organized al my trips and I could always count on his help! Thank you so much!
If I ever should be back to Zanzibar, I definitely will stay in the Safari Lodge again!

We stayed here as a part of a tour, so it wasn't our choice. It met our group's needs, but was not memorable. We were lucky to have a room on the top floor so it was very dark and quiet, making for a good night's sleep despite a rock hard bed. Others in our group had some noise (voices) coming through their air conditioner from the neighbouring building. AC worked well and a fan was also provided. Breakfast was really poor, just cereal and fruit.

Wonderful big rooms with four poster beds. Great air con and ceiling fans and less than a 5 min walk from the ferry and only 10 mins from the bars, beach, boats and market. Breakfast was a buffet with fresh eggs made to order with waiter service

I have stayed here three times, mostly as I was introduced to it when doing Intrepid tours. It is well located, basic, clean and reasonable.

Location - central Stone Town. Easy walking distance to a taxi or the ferry. A few turns in the maze that is Stone Town to get to it, but quite straight-forward.
Rooms - basic, bland, average size. Bed, small desk, arm chair and cupboard with mirror. Aircon works well and ceiling fan
Bed - comfortable, large (non-standard size), a little on the high-side
Bathroom - basic but clean
Service - good. Receptionists happy to assist
Breakfast - very basic. They make eggs to your liking, a little fruit and toast (the hideous sweet white bread universal in Tanzania). Tea and coffee. Rooftop location - overlooking the city and often you hear the kids at school singing.
Internet - free wifi and good speeds
Other - no safe in rooms. A little walk to restaurants and bars. Fun to sit on the front steps and watch the locals go by.

The hotel is centrally located, very clean with basic breakfast like many other hotel. Breakfast is served on the roof. Receptionists are very kind. The hotel has many rooms without caracheter.

The room was clean, with aircon and clean bathroom. I spent 2 nights.
The price is in the average, 55$ for a double room.

I think it is possible di find out other hotel in the center.

A well positioned hotel, strolling distance to the sights of Stone Town. A bit of a labyrinth. Would not recommend being out late at night on your own as there is a possibility of getting lost. Rooms are adequate with fans and noisy AC. No bar on site, there is a fridge in reception sellling water and a kiosk nearby for soft drinks. We found it a great people place. On the stret outside you can soak up the atmosphere with children going to and from school and locals going about their business.
Would use it again.
