We stayed here in March for 2 nights, the room we had was up several flights of stairs and rather dark. The only window was to to stairwell area. Still it was adequate and very much in the middle of all that was happening. The breakfast was simple but good, opened to the "street" so you could "people watch". Both location and price are excellent and the reason to stay here. We headed out to the coast after 2 days. (Weather was good despite being the "rainy season")

Room Tip: pick a room that has a window to the outside

We stayed one night in the B&B before travelling back to Europe.

It is centrally located in the heart of Stone Town, next to the post office. Walking distance to major attractions, great selections of dining options nearby and even one of few places serving beer only 50m away (though if you want to drink a beer in luxury then I'd rather suggest other place, this one is totally local flavour).

The room was excellent. Quiet A/C, comfortable bed, safe inside, comfortable bathroom.

Wery nice and helpful staff and the cafeteria downstairs was serving good breakfast but also by far the best coffee that we've found in Zanzibar.

I would definately suggest Stown Town Cafe as a place to stay while visiting Stone Town.

Situated on the outskirts of Stone Town, it is less than 5 minutes to Forodhani gardens and a stone's throw away from a booze shop, a large souvenir shop and a diving centre, which is close to the beach.
A no frills accomodation with a comfortable room and large-ish shower room. There is no lift but the stairs are not steep and the hotel staff help you carry your luggage to and from the room.
Breakfast is very generous and the menu is quite enticing for a snack or lunch and the staff is very friendly, teaching us some swahili as well as describing the surrounding attractions and booking tours at competitive prices.

If you are coming down to Stone Town for a couple of days or a week, Stone Town B&B is highly recommended. We stayed there for 5 nights and had a wonderful time! The B&B is very central, next to the post office, 2 mins. walk from the beach, 2 mins. walk to some of the best restaurants and shops in town. The staff has been exceptional and make you feel welcome straight away..

We arrived by ferry from Dar and it was a 8 mins walk to the B&B. Coming out of the port, take a right and keep going straight until you reach the gardens. Pass the castle walk under the viaduct and take a left after the bank. Walk for another 500 meters and its on your left. So no taxi needed and try to ignore the people that want to show you around at the ferry port, although they will walk with you for at least 500 meters like we experienced...

Also, the breakfast is lush and definitely a good start of the day.

We stayed here for one night after our safari and Kilimanjaro trek. I must say that I was disappointed after the wonderful reviews on tripadvisor. The location is great in the middle of Stone Town, but the restaurant is quite average and so is the room (quite dark actually, however the room was quite large which was good). I had expected more. The cleaning ladies seemed to like it outside our room, they laid on the floor to relax and chat. This is not very professional to me. Some traffic noise form the street in the night.
