We were pleased to see a Japanese restaurant not too far from our hotel so we decided to have dinner there. Service was fast and we were happy to see some of our favourites on the menu. The sushi (salmon, tuna and mackerel) was fresh and delicious, and on par with any that we have had in Japanese restaurants in larger cities in North America.

We also ordered salmon teriyaki on a bed of vegetables (with a choice of a side of white rice, fried rice or noodles), and a fried rice bowl with shrimp and chicken. Each meal also came with a side salad. Both meals were generous portions, very tasty, and we enjoyed them very much.

We look forward to eating here again the next time we visit Watertown. Recommended!

We had a great hibachi style meal at this restaurant. The service was friendly and quick! One of the best places to eat in Watertown!

Lunch for one - restaurant declined to seat me at the hibachi, so it was off to the sushi bar. Fish a little old and long in the tooth. It should smell like the sea, if anything. These smelled like fish.

I suppose Watertown isn't the place to expect world class sushi, but I still expect that if a place is serving raw fish, it will be fresh. While not over the hill, this was just a little off, which is enough for me to go elsewhere.

My husband and I went with our son & his soon to be bride. We had a wonderful time. The food was very good! We had Habachi (cooked) steak/shrimp & chicken. We had a great soup, salad + our main meal. The servers were very nice & made sure we had drinks. The "show" was so fun to watch. We all enjoyed our fun evening.

8 of us gathered at Ruyi to celebrate a birthday. We were promptly seated (reservation) and our server immediatly offered water and took drink orders. We were given time to review the extensive menu (you might want to check it out before you go) and selected some sushi appetizers and hibachi choices. Sushi rolls wer.e a bit large for single bit but all were delicious. Soup and salad were served as part of the package. The entertainment began when our chef arrived to prepare our rice or noodles. Instead of shrimp, he cut pieces of zucchini to toss at us....we were not good at catching. However we were all treated to a saki spray in the mouth anyway. The meals themselves - orders included shrimp, lobster, calamari, chicken, steak and swordfish. Steak cooked to order (medium rare), lobster and calamari perfect (not easy on a grill. Grilled veges to finish with the onion volcano as a finish. Chef cleaned up his grill and left us to eat and chat. Birthday girl received a paper-mache mask and complementary desert and birthday song. since we were a large group, and 18% tip was added to each of our bills - they were fine with breaking out for 4 couples. Overall great experience, excellent food and reasonable price. We will be back.
