I am not a big fan of big resorts - so Indigo Bay was a real delight as its small enough to feel personal and big enough to find spaces to be alone. Beautiful beyond words, cleverly laid out with incredible staff who always know what you are doing for the day - its an example of great management and a perfect location. You feel asif you have landed in a postcard of palms and warm blue ocean, and with your feet in the sand, you dine on prawns and crayfish with the lap of the ocean. Its ideal for honeymooners and kids- and not many resorts can say that! A highlight of our 3 week Moz experience and one we are already saving up to do again!

Room Tip: I love the casitas down on the beach rather than the villas high up on the hill.

Absolutely perfect accommodation in a private beach bungalow hidden back from the beach to give just the right amount of privacy, beautifully appointed and fitted throughout. Great touches like indoor and outside showers, excellent house-keeping. Great food. Restaurant settings superb over-looking the most perfect bay.
We went snorkelling and horse riding along the near deserted beach at sunset.
This must be paradise

We were here on our honeymoon back in Dec12, as our first choice lodge (Marlin Lodge) had caught fire just 1 week before our departure. The staff are great here, although given the size of the lodge it can feel very hectic at times....especially with lots of young children around.

For families this place is great, but for couples looking for some serious down time I think there are better places. The food is of decent standard, and can also get quite repetitive after a few days.

For the money you pay i'd say this is decent, but there are area that could be improved - eg. couples only dining areas, a more expansive menu/variation.

Room Tip: Try not to stay too far from the main lodge areas, as it can be quite a walk

I loved this place! The room was incredible. The view was stunning! Sunsets are phenomenal. We rented the private beach for the day which was nice, I was a bit disappointed in the amount of litter on the beach. Horse riding isn't your half dead stable ponies, I found it great. My husband scuba dived and found the instructor professional and good visibility in the water.

Room Tip: We rented the honeymoon suite - amazing!

Indigo Bay is Paradise! The Hotel is beautifully appointed with luxurious villa's right on the beach, the cuisine is out of this world. Dinners around the pool and on the beach, wonderful breakfasts. The staff are to be commended on their efficiency in every department and many thanks to the GM Andy Conn who runs a truly magnificent resort! We were a family of eight and we will definitly be back, there is so much to do and see at Indigo Bay, also great for children.Thank you Andy and your staff!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff for the most amazing 3 nights at Indigo Bay Mozambique, it will blow anyones mind. From our chalet we were able to practically touch the clear, warm blue sea and the food, it's simply the finest cuisine. Most alcoholic drinks are included and all the staff are true professionals and attend to your every need. Conrad runs a very smooth activity centre that has the highest level of equipment and Andy makes sure everything runs to plan, thank you once again!
