A long haul but very do-able. In the snow make sure you have crampons and ice axe, especially needed for the traverse at the start of the climb from Les Mouflons refuge.

Challenging, cold, difficult to stay standing at times because of the extreme winds. I had lost all my energy climbing down and fell behind.

Great training mountain. Tough but not impossible. Loved that we didnt see the summit until the last hour!

It's the top of the Atlas mountains, so everyone has to go up. The refuge area is a bit of a tip, rubbish and poorly dug latrines all over the place. The refuge it's self is OK, but busy. Showers and toilets.
Getting to the top of the highest in the range is a great thrill, and if clear the far reaching views, stunning. At 4167m altitude will slow you up and AMS is possible, take it easy.

quite a slog up in the ice and snow of February, and also quite a long descent as the sun softens the snow and you shed layers. Fantastic views over the peaks and ranges of distant hills, greta walk!
