Very well organised 5 day trek in the high atlas mountains culminating in ascent of Toubkal in October 2012 for group of 7 middle-aged men. The first 4 days through amazing scenery staying in Berber villages and mountain huts, and gaining height each day to acclimatise. Great guide who was knowledgeable and friendly - and extremely fit, We also had a cook, muleteer, boy, and 3 mules.
Fantastic value and good to know that everything we spent stayed in Morocco.
A few tips: the Toubkal ascent was very slippery (it had hailed overnight and then frozen) - at least one walking pole was essential and crampons and/or iceaxe would not have been superfluous. Despite this, it wasn't particularly cold and I didn't need all the thermals that I'd taken. The huts are warm, especially when filled with people. Water can be bought and is a fixed price. It's easier to pay Houssine in cash at the start of the trip.
We finished the trek with a night in Houssine's guest house at Imlil and then a couple of days in Marrakesh.
Transfers from the airport and back to Marrakesh were included and easy.
