We booked a day trip with Rachid and absolutely loved it. Mohamed his friend picked us from our hotel and along the way explained the historical significance of the Atlas mountains also pointing out landmarks and places of interest as we drove. Once we got to the mountain we were awestruck by its beauty and Rachid made the experience just that much more pleasant. We wanted to see a waterfall and the general mountain life which Rachid gladly showed us. My sister and I chose fashionable boots over sensible boots (big mistake...it's a mountain, really it is! lol) he was patient, humorous and very informative. We found the people in Marrakech to be just plain friendly and wonderful and this was truer in the mountains where the community spirit amazing. After our Trek we stopped in a small village for a 3 course lunch which involved a traditional Lamb Tagine which was the best one we'd had whilst in Morocco. We then ended the day with an hour long Camel ride taking in the landscape which was wonderful after the trek.

This was definitely the highlight of our trip and Rachid and Mohamed made it memorable.

We took a group of school children (16 and 17 years of age) to Imlil to participate in 5 days community work and to observe and appreciate a different culture to our own. Rachid and the team were amazing hosts. Their people skills were excellent. Rachid was able to engage fully with the staff and pupils. He was always ready to listen to your opinions or ideas on activities for the group and could accomodate them. He demonstrated very good organisational skills and remains calm always.
The pupils had a trip of a lifetime interacting with the people within the village. Seeing some of the celebrations and dancing with the people wearing the goats skins has been some of the most memorable times for the them.
A big thank you to all of the group who work with Rachid to help make it such an amazing experience.

Rachid's a great guide, he speaks English and French (among other languages) fluently and is easy to get along with as well as knowing the mountains inside out. Our trip was 2 nights with a summit attempt on Tobkal - we had to abandon that because of weather but still went up to a pass with a great view. The price was right and the food was great, awesome experience overall.

We have just finished the two day trek up toukbal with our guide Rachid.
We were nervous about doing this as we are 2 females in our mid twenties with limited climbing experience. But we needn't have worried - rachid was fantastic and it was definitely one of the highlights of a year of travel!
Pros
- food was amazing - a variety of tagines and accompaniments cooked fresh at every meal, far superior to anything else we ate in morocco
- rachid our guide was friendly, chatty, informative, experienced, patient and most importantly very safety conscious - we felt safe at all times. by the end we felt like we had a new friend
-scenery - absolutely spectacular. It snowed while we were at the refuge and due to high winds we didn't make the summit but rachid took us up to another pass which was equally stunning at the top
-booking process was easy - rachid emailed me back promptly and responded to my many questions
- guesthouse in imlil was clean and tidy and warm

Cons - not rachid's fault but make sure you take PLENTY of warm clothes if you are going in winter - we didn't quite appreciate how cold it gets.

All in all an excellent company and a wonderful experience!!!

Had miserable gastroenteritis and was weak but didn't want to miss out on this trip. Changed the 2 day Toubkal hike to a day hike around Imlil due to illness. Rachid Imerhane was the guide and was accommodating of the change, and was affable and friendly. We liked him quite a bit. He was professional and a refreshing change from the touts that were abound. Imlil is gorgeous, but the hike is rocky and a bit challenging in terms of footing, with one area that was a little strenuous uphill, where my gastro-weakened system had difficulty, and I wish Rachid had slowed down. He joshed me a bit at my weakness, which others may have taken badly, and made me want to punch him briefly, but he was a winner overall -- professional, knowledgeable, friendly and talkative. The Imlil area was filled with local tourists, who were pleasant and interested in talking to us. The tour was a bit pricier than we anticipated, but was far from expensive.
Pros: Even the one-day hike around Imlil is enjoyable. Rachid is a gem of a guide and accommodated a last-minute change.
Cons: Don't hike with gastro.
