Email communication with the owner was good. It was easy to get our transport from Marrakech sorted via the owner with a safe driver in a decent vehicle. It was February when we stayed and very cold up in the mountains. The rooms were kept very cosy with hot waterbottles put in your bed in the evenings and wood fires lit in your room for when you got back. The accommodation was simple, very characterful and nicely decorated.
The staff were all helpful. The trekking (we used a guide they organised for us) was a real highlight, there are plenty of different options and we wished we had more time to explore. The cooking was excellent, lovely home cooked food which was different to the usual fare on offer in most of the restaurants we saw in Marrakech. We weren't too sure about the communal eating when we arrived but this turned out to to be a great experience. Each night we enjoyed a cosy dinner, wine and good conversation with the other guests. Breakfast was also delicious, lovely breads, home made yoghurts etc and also the packed lunch you get given on the day trek was great.
This is a great place to get away from it all. It was such a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. We loved just sitting out on the terrace with a mint tea overlooking the snow capped mountains.More
