I booked Mauritius package via Dream Destinations India, which included Air Tickets, Transfers, Hotel and 3 day trip across island (6N/7D). We chose Le Surcouf hotel as our stay at Mauritius as rooms were close to shore and had the best ocean view. After Transfer to Hotel, we had a warm welcome by staff with warm towel. Receptionist took us to our room which will be our home for next 7 days. As we were honeymoon couple, freebies were included like Flower Decoration, Champagne, Fruits Platter and Candle Light dinner. Flower Decoration was nothing but with 3 Hibiscus flowers flowers spread across comforters which was bad. Fruit Platter could have been much more fresh. Room was cool with best lighting. Bathroom was also good but shower area was too small but that was manageable. We had a TV but none of channels were interesting, adding few Hollywood channels could be better. Most importantly Hotel did not provide water for us daily, not even as complimentary. Upon asking they said it is not included in package. So we end up purchasing 1 Ltr water for 180 INR and we returned our champagne and borrowed two 1 Ltr water bottles. :( I would ask management to provide it as default for all packages as water is so expensive in Mauritius. (Atleast 1 Ltr water bottle would suffice daily). Staff was good with interacting to us and helped us without hesitating for my stupid questions. You'd find variety of food at kitchen area which is blend of Mauritius and Indian cuisines. Few dishes were prepared live. Cook and his staff were also good, had asked about food quality and asked to provide feedback to improve our food taste/services. Cook used to ask us if anything specific need to be cooked for next day dinner or breakfast. Infact, they used to ask most of customers which is so nice of them. Housekeeping was also good and were doing timely cleaning. On 4th night, AC stopped working and I asked receptionist to get that rectified but they asked us to vacate to another room as we were already settled in this room, my wife told that she cannot put all things back in suitcase, pack and move it another room, so we asked for Table fan which was provided to us. Hope next time management should check that all things are working fine so it will be hassle free for all. Never minded. :)

View from your room
Room Ambiance
House keeping
No Wifi in rooms, so I spent speaking to my wife (vice-versa) a lot which helped us understanding more. (As per package we should have Wifi but it is only available in Lobby and may people accessing at a time can be painful) :)
Candle Light Dinner which will be your own menu.

No Wifi in rooms when you need to speak to your parents or inlaws. :D
No complimentary water bottle
TV channels
AC stopped working in mid of our stay.

PS: I have never slept in a house or room that is close to ocean, Ocean makes so much of noise at night which is awesome and also fearful :)

This trip was most memorable for me and my wife. Thanks Le-Surcouf team.

Room tip: Ground Floors has the best View of Ocean. Near to Shore.

This is a 3* hotel and it does not exceed any expectations. The staff are very friendly and service at the bar and restaurant cannot be faulted.

The rooms are clean although the drains were very smelly some days. Plenty of cockroaches which I will put down to the tropical climate rather than poor hygiene. Best keep the Windows closed when the lights are on.

There is no wifi in the rooms and it is very, very slow in reception areas. This is not the place to stay if you are hoping to work.

The food was rather disappointing although there were occasional treats on the buffet and the staff went out of their way to serve. The breakfast egg station and crepes were lovely and as was the fruit selection.

The setting redeems the hotel's mediocrity. It is right on the beach with kayaks, snorkelling and other water sports free of charge. You can walk along the beach in both directions forever. There is plenty to do in the vicinity of the hotel. The gardens and bird life are very tranquil.

There is plenty to occupy older children and adults including foosball, pétanque and a big swimming pool. I would imagine that younger kids would struggle.

We did not make use of the spa.

The hotel is small enough to be intimate and large enough to not be stuffy. All the staff are very helpful and obliging. The rooms are super spacious with nice private balconies looking out over the sea. We were all-inclusive and the food was good and plentiful, although those who don't like curry might be a bit limited, but then what are you doing in Mauritius? The Beach is tiny but there are expansive swathes of public beach just yards away, so a few minutes walk will get you a bigger choice. It's quite a quiet location about level 3 miles out of the little town of Trou d'eau Douce, which you can walk or get a bus or inexpensive taxi. Not much for kids to do, it's probably more of a couples resort. Nice.

The staff is realy nice the will do everything for your comfort. The room is nice and i loved the view off the sea. And the little park around the hotel with bird chirp. The food was tasty and for us new expirience beacuse off the spycis.
I would like to commend the staff expecially Vishal the barman and Ajmal the waiter of course also the main chef off the kitchen and the other colege wich names i can not remember.Bravo to all off them, they like to joke and smile.

Room tip: All the rooms have a wiew off the sea, higher floor has more privacy.Downstairs you have directly acces to the beach wich is near.

This has been a absolutely fantastic holiday. The hotel staff could not be anymore accommodating, the location for us was second to none. I had a misadventure while away and the hotel staff not only helped me through the process, but went above and beyond what I would expect hotel staff to do. The food, the booze, the atmosphere is just perfect. Thank you guys you made this family very happy.
