“A memory of a lifetime”
Reviewed August 31, 2010

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the Indian Resort in August 2010. We were treated like royalty. Our room was spacious, the Staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, plentiful and varied. When Danny the Customer Care Manager and Rakesh the Restaurant Manager heard about our 40th anniversary, they organised the chef to bake us a beautiful cake. They filled our room with flower petals and created memories that will last us a lifetime. Waiters Kevin, Micheal and Ananda gave us wonderful service constantly. Thank you to everyone at Indian Resort for an outstanding holiday.

We wnt all inclusive and was not diappointed - reception and initial briefing were excellent so we knew what was free and what little was not.
Location was great particularly for wind based water sports, beach was as you would expect and cleaned every day.
Plenty of sunbeds everywhere.
Rooms were very good and clean.
Food was superb and a real treat - different everyday with a very wide selection for every taste.

Couple fo observations - not criticisms - this is an established hotel and some small refurbishing would raise it to 5 star.
Free watersports equipment was limited and in need of replacing although the staff were brilliant .

All in all 9/10

Outstanding customer service. Food caters for all including vegetarians. Every night was a different cuisine, eg. italian/indian. The resort itself is beautiful. We stayed in one of the 3 suites. Room was immaculate.. romantic.. lil touches make such a difference.. such as flowers being replaced everyday in the room and put on the bed. All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The spa is as lovely as all the photos on the websites. The beach was lovely as it was a 2min walk from our room and a gorgeous view from our window. Both my husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon.

We have just returned from 10 days at the Indian resort & Spa, it is a fantastic hotel, on a great stretch of sandy beach, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We were on the ground floor.
The buffet restaurant has loads to choose from and of a very good standard and The Eden Gastro Restaurant is a great place for evening dining by the sea, with fab food, especially the lobster dinner. yes really.! The gardens / grounds are beautifully kept. The gardens around the rooms were also so lush and so well kept it was a privilege just to walk to your room. And finally the rooms - wow, just perfect. Everything so well thought out. But the Staff for us made it - they are exceptional!
My husband made the most of diving at the diving centre there while I took advantage of the spa and returned home very relaxed. We took bikes out for a morning along the coast road and in the nearby village called Lemorne and that was quite interesting - not much traffic either.

We are planning to return for three weeks in next August 2011, really looking forward to it. This is a very nice resort and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. In conclusion, one of the better places in the world to visit made not just by the location and the climate but by the people who we found to be so friendly they made the holiday complete.

Eight of us spent two weeks at the Indian Resort with our 4 kids and two grandparents. We chose this resort to ensure good kitesurfing conditions. As one previous reviewer mentioned, we were a bit uneasy as to what to expect given some of the negative reviews. However we were in fact pleasantly surprised. (I must mention that while the last review claims to come from Ireland, the english used makes it look more like a batch of previous supportive reviews that I cant help thinking were submitted by hotel staff. Just a hunch.)
The rooms were large, bright and well maintained. Yes there may have well have been some miscoloured grouting in the shower (sorry but unlike other reviewers I had more things to do than take pictures of the corner of the shower!). The beds were big and comfy and there was plenty of hot water. One point re the beds is to watch out for the corner of the base which protrudes a little. One of the grannies got a bad cut from this. However the resident nurse was there in minutes to dress it.
Our package was all inclusive. The food was generally buffet but this varied each day, there was plenty of meat, fish and veg dishes etc. The only gripe about the food was that very often some dishes were not hot - this is an easy thing to fix so in this context is difficult to excuse from a four star resort. Ate in the Indian a la carte restaurant once - very nice but too spicy for some of our group. Drinks were all fine and our group certainly availed of the various cocktails available. Local beer was good, the local wine was an acquired taste but after a day or two we got used to it. Service was fine (always friendly) and was helped by some tipping along the way, but some further training would probably help the staff to be a little more efficient. However all were never less than friendly.
The evening entertainment was either bands or dance troupes and the standard was fine, although due to the low occupancy levels (I guess ~30%), there were never many people in attendance.
Danny the customer services manager was frendly, professional and very attentive and ensured that we were always being taken care of. On the night we left we were given a cake to mark our departure - a nice touch.
There were some areas of the hotel where bad odours were very noticeable: outside the toilets near reception (but not inside,!!?); at the other end of the hotel from us, near the medical centre there was a strong smell of sewage so if I was staying there this would be very unacceptable.
The beach had areas where the sand was nice but others where there were rocks/coral underfoot.
The weather at end June early July was mixed. We had three days of an anticyclone that made it very cloudy/rainy and too windy to kitesurf. Apart from that we were able to kitesurf each day. We had booked lessons for the boys at Club Mistral which is in the grounds of the hotel. The staff at the club are very welcoming and helpful. Lessons take place in the nearby lagoon where conditions are perfect for learning or for practising stuff. Flat shallow water and great wind. The girls got lessons in windsurfing too. Waterskiing, while included, did not happen as it was too windy each day.
One of the group used the spa facilities which I understand were fine.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

We chose this hotel purely for location from the Internet as not many tour operators offer this hotel here in the UK. We wanted to be in Le-Morne as we both Windsurf and this hotel offers the best location on the island (we beleive!).
Not only did we holiday here, but we also choose to get married on their most fantastic grounds/beach.
The hotel staff were amazing, attention to detail was second to none! The hotel rooms were gorgeous, big, very clean, and offered an excellent value for money.
The food is amazing, two restaurants offereing superb quality and choice.
Spa facilities are also amazing, with lots to offer. There is an activity programme displayed every day, so you know whats on offer, as well as advertising evening entertainment around the main centre bar
All in all, i thought this hotel was an excellent standard!! i would definately recommend this hotel, its position, its staff, food and rooms.
Well worth a visit!!!!!
