Stayed 2 nights there at the St Regis Mauritius. The bedroom's setting was very calm and cosy, with a round-shaped bathtub inside. The decor was very vintage while at the same time not giving the having an old-hotel look. I must admit that this was beautifully done. The first night we went to eat the The Floating Market, an Asian restaurants among the many restaurants at the hotel. The ambiance was very nice, with a beach view. The food was very good, though not Excellent. The bar had a live band playing and the furniture there was different, giving the impression that they came from different parts of the world while mixing beautifully well together.

The 2nd night we went to eat at the Japanese restaurant Atsuko and the sushis there were absolutely fantastic.

The hotel is one I would definitely recommend for luxury travellers.

A big thanks to Kristina Wong (Events Coordinator) who organised our stay there and made sure everything went smooth, and also to Juliette (Assistant FnB Manager) whose work ethic looked absolutely brillant coordinating the different restaurants

For honeymoon, you always want to be at a perfect place to remember. this St. Regis is clearly a perfect destination of choice. The resort is perfectly placed on the south end of the Island, you are taken care by attentive staff, you have a very good choice of dinner facilities with a good variety of cuisine. the beach is nice and you dont have to wait for long if you need any ammenities during your stay at the beach or anywhere at the Resort.
There is even a nice choice of activities you can book just outside of the place, like horseback riding, if you want even Kite Surfing. Not to forget, it has made it´s step into the digital lifestyle, with good wireless availability throughout the resort and automatic USB connectors to tank your devices.
Two thumbs up and there is a high probability that we say hello again.

Spent 7 days here with family and whilst the location is excellent, however the same cannot be said for the staff, nor for the food. The staff are not trained properly and do not provide the level of service that is expected of such a plac. The butler service was non existant. It seems that like many things at this St Regis, very variable.
As has been written elsewhere the restaurants are extremelt restricted in their offerings and even the quality is suspect - Floating Market is not recommended as the quality is not good. The prices of the food are high for what is offered, but as there is no local alternative nearby, this place really needs to up its game in their food offering.
Rooms are OK, with having great views of the water and beach is well worth it, but design of the bathroom is poor and really nothing excpetional in such locations.
for frequent travellers, there is no real shout out in this place.
For the value for money, suggest you look around other alternatives.
The problems here, appear to have been around some time and the staff need a real shake up to provide a better experience.

Our family of seven (5 kids from 16 down to 3!) took a February week at St. Regis to spend a quality time away from the European winter. It was our first experience of a St. Regis and I can say we are hooked! Our arrival experience was fantastic, the rooms prepared to the last detail, including a full range of baby accessories in the presumed parent's room. We took "refuge" in one villa, utilizing two upstairs connected rooms and one of the downstairs rooms. It was perfect. Our time was spent at the resort, aside from two day trips, which we took in the able care and escort of Henrico, who showed us some of the highlights of the island. I must give special note to the wonderful ladies at the kid's Kiteflyer's club, who were passionate about their task. It is a pity that we were under the impression (web site...) that this must be booked in advance: it was a welcome all basis. Our two (12 and 7 year old) really enjoyed the activities. The butlers did a good job taking care of us and our needs (reservations for meals, sports activities, etc...) The whole staff was very, very kind and helpful. At no point were we under the impression that something could not be taken care of! To this point, I must admire the staff discipline around some of the guests who seemed perpetually unsatisfied and literally spoilt. We understand that it was the lower season and therefore not at peak occupancy, but everything was taken care of with an eye for detail: grounds, beach, chairs, restaurant, bar, sports center.... Congratulations to the hotel team!

We have just returned from two weeks at the St Regis in Le Morne. The hotel was truly beautiful and it is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Mauritius. The sea and beach is spotlessly clean, although the sand isn't as soft as it looks. Shoes are often required!

The rooms are spotless, large and very comfortable. The beds were the comfiest we have ever slept in. We had a deluxe room with ocean view and we were literally just moments from the beach. Our room was quite close to the main hotel and restaurants, however some were quite far away and this could be problematic for those who have trouble walking.

The butler service was excellent and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. No they don't have kettles in the room (as some people have complained), but there is coffee machine which allows you to access boiling water. We also liked having fresh coffee brought to own room each morning. This is something that the butler service offers you.

One thing that really stood out at the St Regis was the staff. All (except a few of the more junior breakfast waiters) really made us feel special. This was particularly true of Juliette and Shaun the duty manager. Both went above and beyond to make sure that was had a comfortable stay. Nearly all of the staff were very friendly with excellent English (not true of everywhere on Mauritius).

The only negative I would point out is that the restaurants are extremely expensive for what is on offer. We were on bed and breakfast, so you might not notice this if you are on FB or HB. The average main meal was £15, which is fine if the quality is good. The quality was not however outstanding and it was hard to justify the price. Simply India in our opinion was the best in terms of quality. However, this was still very expensive (£20 for two rotis and two rices). We only went there on our last night and we wished that we had gone there earlier as the food was excellent. Make sure you ask to see both menus for Simply India as they only seems to have one on show in the day and when asked we were only shown the one menu. This menu is limited and expensive. There is another menu that was received when we went for the meal and this was a lot more extensive (and reasonable),

The spa is amazing and I would definitely recommend their massages (I went twice).

This is a very family friendly hotel, although it is big enough not to feel like your peace is disturbed by other peoples children. Because it was school holidays there were lots of children there. However, even though the hotel was busy we could always find plenty of space to be by ourselves.

I would definitely recommend the St Regis in Mauritius and hope to be back next year!

Everything exceptional, as a bonus dramatic coast and overall relief with Le Morne peak just above the resort - much better than usual flat beach landscape elsewhere. Famous kite surfing spot nearby also big plus - this place is for experts and its great to see surfers jumping and flying. Nice lagoon and high hotel quality service standard is obvious. This part of Mauritius I would rate as really best one. Highly recommended.

I came here with my family as it had been my dream to go to Mauritius forever. We had been to a St Regis hotel in Texas which was exceptional, therefore we were expecting great things. Can I just say that each and every wish was fulfilled here by the perfectionist of a chef, the friendly and attentive butlers and the helpful staff. We had a brilliant beach-side suite with a luxury bath and spa-worthy shower. Then the beds: clean and comfortable, allowing a great night's sleep every night with a delicious, wide-variety breakfast and a clean, spacious pool next to a row of comfy deck chairs. The Indian see- wow! Totally worth seeing and indescribably beautiful! Then the restaurants: I don't want it give away too much. With delicious flavours they are true phenomenons- my fav is the floating market.
OMG the best holiday of my life!

Room Tip: Peeps, you MUST choose a beach side room. Beautiful!
