Firstly, may I say that we think this restaurant would have rated higher had we chosen the a la carte menu and not the daily table d'hote. The food we ate was OK. The menu is very much Creole influenced. Why do we think we could have chosen better? Because the restaurant had a lot of affluent Mauritians eating there and the plates being delivered to their tables looked very appetising. If you are near Pampelmousse (not Grand Baie) and wish to try some genuine local food in an eccentric setting (surrounded by vintage cars and an old plane in varying states of repair) try this sweet place - I suggest that you then have a lengthy discussion with the woman who acts as maitre'd before choosing your food - I think you may well have a 4 star experience. PS nice wine list at reasonable prices.
