Luigis is what it says it is...an Italian restaurant in Mauritius..decent food and atmosphere, prices are a little on the steep side by the portion sizes are generous. The service could be more attentive and the staff could be encouraged to smile a little.....but all in all, a decent Italian restaurant.

I leave here and have the opportunity to try all the restaurants then and again... I must say that there are only a handful that I would recommentd to travellers... The best bet is LUIGI's , the food is ALWAYS excellent and good quality/price then go for a drink at THE BANANA CAFE , you will enjoy live music at the week ends, we even have our dessert there... great place..

My wife and i have just retuned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in mauritius. Whilst there we ventured into Luigi's for dinner one night. I ordered the T-bone steak and my knife was replaced by one crocodile dundee would have been proud of.
When my T-bone arrived it was cold but i let that go as i was hungry. The machette i was given could not even start to cut this steak as it was incredibly sinue and tougher than a hermits sandal.
A chainsaw would have been more apt, but even then, I think it would have struggled.
I gave my steak to a few stray dog's who were still fighting over it day's later.
As you can imagine we did not return to Luigi's........ As they say ' once bitten' or not as in this case!

Great food, good service, can be very hot in here during the humid months, unpleasantly so.
