“Paradise, where friendships and love grew!”

We have just got back from 10 days at the Maritim Hotel..... and i cant find words to describe the amazing time we had. I was our honeymoon in paradise , exactly as the brochures pictured it.
I'm not going to write lots as it will spoil your experience, don't be put off by the drive from the airport, once you go through the pearly gates, you are greeted with paradise. The staff go beyond the call of duty for every task they undertake, they want you to have the most amazing memories possible. Try all of the restaurants, the food is amazing. Take time to understand the credit and supplement system if on all inclusive, its worth understanding. The hotel is spotless, the gardens well kept and they even rake the beach so you don't hurt your feet on the coral! Ladies take your hairdryer , cause the one in the room isnt very powerful.
A good tip!!, take care when booking trips/ tours, compare prices, the hotel ( bookable at reception) offers taxi shuttles and private taxis cheaper than the tour people, and you get to go where you want to go not where they have to take you. Some things felt a little to organised!!
We had an amazing 9 days, made some great friends, encouraged by dedicated staff. How much or how little you do is up to you. The Maritim Hotel, is one to visit, with memories to treasure - we hope to be back soon.

I absolutely love this place. One of the best hotel, and what I really like is that the personnel is outstanding, they are helpful and do a great job.

I like the food and love the spa. I am thinking about going there this month again.

We booked our honeymoon through Virgin Holidays. In terms of all the administration and service there were no major issues. The only minor issue was having to contact them for the reference number for our flights so that we could check in online. I stress MINOR issue, it in no way detracted from our enjoyment but is a planning consideration.

From departure at Heathrow 2 days post wedding to our arrival back at the same airport yesterday my wife and I could not have been treated better. The flight was comfortable, food amazing and airline staff second to none. When we arrived in Mauritius the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us the whole time we were there. Virgin gave us a complimentary treatment at the spa and the staff had set up the room to look amazing.

Throughout our stay the staff were outstanding, they worked really hard for us at all times, our room was always clean and tidy, the bed made, mini bar stocked and fresh towels without ever having to ask. At the beach, the pool, the restaurant and the boathouse they were all incredibly friendly and polite. The staff don't work for tips (it's not encouraged and the hotel advertise the fact) but appeared to do so for the satisfaction of a job well done.

The Chefs were superb and the food laid on throughout the holiday was amazing, there is a lot of variety of not only where to dine, but what is available in each restaurant, I can't rate the quality highly enough. The all inclusive package including everything you'd expect and a lot more to boot, we were always happy with the quality and quantity of food and beverages.

There are a number of activities provided for free, the highlight for me was wakeboarding, I spent 4 hours a day at the jetty (mostly in the water after face planting on the board). There was also kayaking, dinghy sailing and windsurfing for free plus several more. These all came with polite, friendly and capable instructors. Paid activities included paragliding and diving, again with quality instructors who knew their stuff and kept you safe.

The venue is fantastic with some amazing views, there are several bars open until late and numerous staff on hand to provide exemplary service at all times. Our room was outstanding, we had a privilege room with a MASSIVE bed (single mattress) with comfy chair, balcony and cabinets etc, there was a free standing bath, his and her sinks, walk in shower and WC in an adjoining area that could be opened up for some fantastic views

Hotel Excellent very good food and what you would expect with a 14 day £,5.0000 pound holiday, Very good staff. The Beach was dangerous for keen swimmers due to coral and rocks, Also June is there winter so ,your day is very short and the nights very long, The weather very poor it was cold and it did rain. I wish my travel agent had informed me of the mauritius winter, If I had known I would have gone to a Warmer climate, Brits want a summer Holiday Not a long journey to the other side of trhe world.To experience there winter, Windermere in The Summer has more to offer than Mauritius, But I can not fault the Hotel staff at the Marityn they were all very hard working people. It is indeed winter time in Mauritius but the island still benefit from a sweet climate with around 26 degrees during the day and around 20 degrees during the night and of a see temperature of around 26 degrees.

The resort is located on sunniest and sheltered North West coast of the island along the Turtle Bay, the first protected marine park of Mauritius which offer to our guest one of the best snorkelling spot of the island.

We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you for your next holidays during the summer time!

It's 7th July 2013 and I'm presently writing this review from the Quarter Deck bar in the Maritim Hotel, having already stayed 7 nights with 7 more to go. What can I say that hasn't been said before? This is such a fabulous hotel! More than the beautiful location, more than the fantastic quality of the food, more than the superb rooms, what makes this hotel exceptional is the quality of service from the army of staff. From the gardeners to the waiters and waitresses, from the staff at reception to the bar staff, from the beach staff to the cleaners, everyone has a smile for you and nothing is ever too much trouble. It is abundantly clear that the staff know that their priority us to ensure your stay is as perfect as possible. The prestige rooms are thoughtfully designed, exceptionally roomy and supremely comfortable. The all inclusive package includes the vast majority of the hotel's sporting activities (archery was great fun!) and eating options (such a wide selection of foods; the standard dinner buffet is great). The Maritim Hotel in Mauritius is a class act!

This hotel is very Nice, beautiful location. It is most likely great for couple retreat and holiday, but for business it is not up to standard. The main parameter; internet is basically non-exisitng. During my 5 day stay, I had upload (=sending emails) speeds of 0.05 - 0.10 mbit, which is very low. Also no ironing possibility in the rooms.
Food in the restaurants is fine, but roomservice quality of the food is nothing but disappointing - don't do it! Morning buffet looked promosing, but rather disappointing in selection of quality and fruits.
All in all very clean, nice staff and good atmosphere, just not suited for business.

Stayed 9 nights at the Maritim Hotel from 14th June and cannot complain about anything other than the Friday night BBQ which was very basic ad not worth the extra you have to pay to attend.
We had a prestige room on the all inclusive option. Food in the buffet was good with lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. One meet and greet staff member stood out from the rest - Sweety who was always smiling and greeted us warmly. We had breakfast a couple of times at the Bel Maree, lunched there most days and had two steak nights. Lunch there was very good and our praise goes mostly to Ishwaree who remembered us every day and was very attentive and helpful although the other staff there were also very good. We watched the sunset from there most evenings with cocktail in hand! We tried the Asian Restaurant one evening which was good but not well patronised which was a pity. The beach staff were wonderful with our waiter always ready with a drink for us as soon as we arrived. All staff were good and very customer focused which made such a difference, special mention also to the restroom ladies who do such a wonderful job.
To sum up wonderful hotel which made for a wonderful holiday with wonderful memories.

Room Tip: Prestige rooms are very nice and worth the extra.
