we've stopped here for dinners over the past 6 or 7 years when we visit the fingerlakes area. each time we stop, it seems a little more needy. place can seat a whole lot of people. building looks like it needs some sprucing up from the outside, and the carpeting and setting inside is dark and somewhat dated. big thing here is the salad bar w/soup. it used to contain numerous hot items as well, to the point that you hardly felt like eating your entree. this time, it was just an ok salad bar with a hot soup. entree was disappointed, chicken parm. tasted dry and tough, either frozen, or overcooked, or both. waitress didn't ask how our meals were, perhaps she already knew. it was mid week, and there were a few patrons dining this nite. i have memories that it was much better in the past. next year, i think we'll forego abigails and try something new

Wow, what a throw-back to the mid 70's. The decor and menu were straight out of the mid 1970's. The staff was friendly, however, they were told right up front that were are Vegetarians, yet he still suggested we try the homemade clam chowder....with BACON.....ummm what! The food was just okay. O'well, cross another restaurant off our list!

We came here on the recommendation of our B&B host, but when we walked in, we wondered if we had made the right choice. The place was quite large, little ambiance, and was practically empty this Sunday night. We are so glad we stayed! Missy, our waitress, was exceptionally helpful in guiding our choice of local wines, and the food was excellent!! I had pasta primavera that was cooked perfectly; my husband had the barbecued ribs and proclaimed them tender and tasty. The bill was reasonable, so we felt this was a great end to a very long day of driving.

Needed to stay in Waterloo, NY overnight on a Monday evening to call on a local customer with an associate. I was not certain that there was anywhere decent to eat because most offerings were fast food. The helpful staff at the local Holiday Inn suggested Abigal's which turned out to be a delightful surprise.
This was an old school, charming, little restaurant with a salad bar and white tablecloths. We were greeted warmly and led to a table by the woman who seemed to be both greeter and waitress. She managed to be both efficient and pleasant. Our drink order-a martini and a bloody mary- was taken promptly and quickly delivered back to our table. The martini was nicely made as was the bloody mary. The waitress gave us sufficient time to enjoy our drinks before arriving back to take our dinner order and invite us to visit the salad bar.The salad bar was what anyone expects although the three bean salad was particularly good. There was white bean and ham soup available and it was quite good, also. An order of lamb chops (3) with pilaf was well made. The lamb chops were ordered rare and arrived as such-very juicy with a good lamb taste. I put the mint jelly to one side as I haven't eaten mint jelly with lamb since the Bronze Age ended. My associate ordered salmon and baked potato and was very happy with his dinner.
We were pleased with our meals and the value we received for what we paid. This wasn't gourmet food but a very decent meal on a night where we had every expectation of having to endure a fast food dinner in some lackluster, charmless block building with arches and garish colors.
