“Oldest winery worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

We took the tour and tasting. We both enjoyed the tour (which I believe was $10 pp) and the tasting was pretty good. We enjoyed our visit. The grounds are pretty especially in spring. We recently had friends hold their wedding reception here and the cocktail hr was incredible. However the buffet dinner didnt offer may choices and didnt leave us satisfied. All in all though the winery is a nice visit.

Quick informative tour followed by very knowledgeable presentator and wine tasting. Well worth the $10.

“Wine tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2012

Nice place to kick back, relax and share a glass of wine. Take a tour of the wine cellars. Sample a wine tasting @ a modest fee. You can bring your own food or snack and sit on the patio in the sun or under a shaded umbrella. Listen to locals musicians.

“Oldest Winery goes Commercial”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

In visitng the Hudson Valley region-- just had to visit the Oldest Winery in the US-- the line to enter and purchase your tasting was tacky-- they provide a jello shot plastic cup or for $2 more a glass, which you get to keep. ( I have more than enough) Interesting we choose the Brotherhood Classic and the Imported tasting. Here I'm in the oldest winery in the US and LOVE the imported Chilean wines!!! The rounded bars for tasting-- though you had to wait to get to one was much better for the presentation of the tasting for all at the bar. The grounds are a historic site and the atmosphere very festival and engaging. Gift shop was very nice -- good diveristy of items. A wedding was being set up at the Mansion -- it seems to be quite elegant. Not handicap accessible- but what can you expected from a place from 1839-- so we skipped the tour. Overall had a nice visit and again loved the imported wines!

“Nice place to spend a relaxing day”

Good wine and the tour was interesting. The lunchtime service at the Cafe was not great. Dinner service at same location was much better.
