The area lacks much in the way of fine dining, but The Grange is a terrific exception. With true farm-to-table as its theme, the meals are infused with freshness and originality.

One never knows what will be in the dinner menu in this small, rustic, intimate dining room, since the chef determines what to make depending on what is locally available. On the night we were there, I had a sausage topped fresh salad, with a terrific steak for dinner (with fresh veggies, of course). My wife enjoyed her vegitarian eggrolls, followed by a terrific duck. A shared flourless chocolate cakes was scrumptious.

The wine list is also locally sourced, which can be disappointing. But try to excellent hard cider!

It's worth a trip to this spot, but make sure you have a reservation - and note that they have several days closed weekly, and early closings from time to time.

My wife loves this place. I don't dislike it, but don't get what she loves so much about it. It's a good farm to table joint. Food is reliably good and it varies by season. You need a reservation for lunch on Sunday, so I'm clearly missing something. Never had anything bad here, though.

I wanted to love this place with its great farm to table vibe. But there really is not much to choose from for lunch. No sandwiches or small plates. Several salads and dinner type entrees which sounded good and looked good for a hearty dinner. Perhaps we should come back for dinner. It is a charming little place.

Our first time at "The Grange" -- a lot of effort has gone into creating a very special homey environment, and also a small number of tables which makes the experience more intimate ( make sure to reserve!). But the food was a pleasant surprise -- excellent, well-prepared, sophisticated tastes, with a welcome emphasis on local produce. Highly recommended! Cynthia and Ilan Rubin, Jerusalem
