Although we live in western PA where autumn foliage is glorious, last year we decided to "do New England." We stayed three nights at the charming and authentic Cornerstone Victorian Bed & Breakfast. What a lucky choice! Our room was spacious with a huge and very comfortable 4-poster bed, recliner chairs for reading and viewing TV, and an excellent modern bathroom. Doug and Louise have lovingly and carefully restored this beautiful house and the furnishings sure seem authentic to my eye. Our hosts were wonderfully down to earth and friendly without being obtrusive, intelligent about the world and knowledgeable about their corner of it -- and could they ever cook. Breakfasts were a multi-course affair, each course small enough that you could eat everything on offer, each more delicious than the last. It sure didn't hurt that this B & B attracted interesting guests during our stay, so the big breakfast table was abuzz with cosmopolitan chatter in this rural backwater. Louise also directed us to a walkable dinner place, one of the few in town, that was so good we ate there every night. We'll come back!!

I HIGHLY recommend this B&B. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying with Doug and Louise in Feb 2012. Let’s just say that even after 3 days, we were NOT ready to come home. Too bad they wouldn’t adopt us, lol. The house is immaculately kept, tastefully decorated and the hosts are simply divine. They were always there when needed but also gave you plenty of privacy. The BREAKFAST (and nightly surprise dessert)…words cannot describe. I commented to Louise many times over that she needs to write a “Cornerstone Victorian” cookbook. We are looking forward to returning this year! See you soon, Louise and Dougxoxoxo

Room Tip: Try not to be on the roads at night b/c there are no street lights and it's DARK!!!

Simply an excellent place to stay, a wonderful experience all around. The service is fantastic, the location is great, the facility is beautiful and quite comfortable, and the food and especially the breakfast is to die for. We would most certainly heartily recommend this wonderful experience to everyone.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful, spacious, quiet and afford the occupants comfortable privacy.

Its difficult to express the quality of the house, the gardens and the hosts Doug and Louise. They were a wealth of knowledge and unbelievably welcoming. We had the master room and it was beautiful, v clean and the bed was the most comfortable we stayed in on our 18 day trip. Breakfast was an excellent 5 courses. There will be things you don't really like but overall we thoroughly enjoyed it. There was always some snack / cake when you returned in an evening. Louise really is a great cook. If you need a B&B in the Lake George area then stop looking because you have found it. Dont go anywhere else!!

All the wonderful reviews you have read about this Warrensburg NY B & B are true! We stayed with family for two nights to canoe in the area, and found the location to be perfect. We should have stayed longer. And restaurants in the area, that Doug & Louise recommend, are sensational......not just good. You cannot help but be impressed with the effort that Doug and Louise put into running this gorgeous Victorian house and the surrounding gardens.

Room Tip: All the rooms in this B & B are lovely, even the least expensive one!
