a few of my friends and i stopped by for lunch on a sunday on our way home from camping. there was nobody really there yet;so we ordered 2 hamburgers medium, chicken quesadilla, wings, and a rueben. the place started to fill in with customers and they were being served before us.. it took 1/2hr before we got our food or any acknowledgement about why it was taking so long. very poor service, both burgers were extremely well done not much flavor and too much bun;the quesadilla was greasy and too much big onion sloppy onions; the reuben had this wierd taste and chewy texture... very upsetting all i wanted was a fresh juicy burger! the only thing that was good were the wings, wish we stopped there; oh well...

I am terribly sorry to read about this diner's experience. Sounds like no excuses here and we simply dropped the ball on what should have been an easy group to satisfy. We have reached out to the reviewer and will invite them back for their next meal on us. Hopefully the overwhelming majority of our positive reviews will convince this particular reviewer that we are worth another shot.

We happened in on a Wednesday night during the Olympics and first sat at the bar to check out the events and the menu. The service was homespun and friendly. We went to the dining room for dinner and had the specials. The food was fresh and well prepared. The service was casual as everything came to the table pretty much at once -- soup, salad and entrees. They offer a beer list, but not a wine list, and most customers are probably just fine with that. A very casual place with no pretense.

Every week a group of friends play a word game, Quiddler, at a local restaurant at 4 PM, then order supper and we're home by 7. This week we chose George Henry's for our "game night." I'd been there recently for a Citizen of the Year dinner, (4 choices) and my salmon dinner was great.
This was different, each one of us has different limitations and likes. The menu allowed each of us to pick something, not only of our liking, but fit our needs. My baked onion soup was by far the best I've had in years. The salad with chicken was fantastic, moist chicken and fresh greens with blue cheese, and a side of mild buffalo dressing! Others in the group had sandwiches with home made potato chips "to die for." This "winner" may become our "to go to" place to play and eat. I also understand from one of our players that Wednesday night is steamed clam night and was told they are super! In the past it was a good place for a bite, but with their new chef, it's a very, very good choice!

I believe the problem was my expectation since I read some of the reviews. It's just a regular restaurant, connected to a bar. Don't go in the evenning with kids. When we were there, there was some people drinking too much, yelling, and a loud music coming from a junkbox. The food was ok!

There definitely was a failure on our part the night the reviewer was at George Henry's. Due to the popularity or our establishment the bar can get a little loud. We have separate music in the dining room and we are exploring ways to better separate the bar from the dining room. But our servers and bartenders should have had a better handle on the noise situation and for that we apologize. This issue has been addressed and we will improve moving forward.

As always we will do everything we can to make your experience positive and both worth your time and hard-earned dollars.
