“Great place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2014

Greatest food in the LG area. Yeah, it is quirky. Open or not. It's part of the appeal. Long wait - yes. But I've never left because of the wait. The food is what matters, it is always excellent and worth waiting for. The ambience at the bar while waiting is great.chat with the locals. We will be there this weekend as I believe they are closed in June.
To the person who left and went else where, give it another try, just be prepared to wait and enjoy it.

“An Impossible Find in the Adirondacks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2014

Up here in the Adirondacks residents and visitors alike believe that their particular restaurant discovery is the best in the area. They are both wrong. Locals constantly look for excellent food
and service but always need to settle for what is here - Mediocrity. Visitors to the best camps and
the well known resorts think their selections are the best available. Wrong once again. In order to
find truly excellent quality dining, atmosphere, variety and service one has to go much further North
or South. How nice to find the exception to that rule!
Brunetto's at 3579 Route 9 in Warrensburg is a fabulous dining experience! The building is unobtrusive right near the tall McDonald's sign right off Exit 23 from US 87. Inside, the bar and dining room are lovely and well laid out. The drinks are generous and well prepared. But it is the
food that is the star. Appetizers from Artichoke Hearts to Escargot to Mussels and Crab Cakes are
served with wonderful immediately prepared sourdough bread. Salads include housemade Caesar
with freshly made croutons and Roast Beet Salad with goat cheese, walnuts and orange ginger dressing. All other dressings are similarly prepared in house and are excellent.
For entrees you will encounter a wonderful variety of seasonally available dishes which may even
be split for a slight charge. Tortellini Con Polo, Chicken Picatta, Marsala, or Schnitzle are served
along with dinners of perfectly done Duck and Rack of Lamb. The usual beef cuts are here also along with Salmon choices, Scallops, Swordfish and Trout. How can you make a choice?
Each entree comes on a huge plate with just the right vegetables perfectly prepared and presented.
Oh yes, there is also an extensive and appropriate wine list. Not the usual silly choices you usually
find around the Adirondacks.
If you do manage to save room for desert than more excellent home made treats await you. These
along with properly prepared coffees to send you on your way.
Do call in advance to (518) 623-1041 to find if they are open that evening but do not expect reservations - they do not give them. When you are this good, diners know to get there early, be ready to wait to be seated and don't look to find Brunetto's on a web site - they do not have one.
What a pleasure to find this exceptional restaurant just inside the border of the Adirondack Park.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014

On April 19 my husband and I along with our New York family went for dinner at this restaurant. We were served by Fran who was excellent. The menu has so many choices. We started off with mussels and artichokes in a special sauce. My husband had the steak. I had duck with raspberry sauce. Someone had chicken piccata and someone had osso bucco and we finished up with cheesecake and lava chocolate cake. Everything was unbelievably delicious . We go to Lake George 4 times a year and we definitely plan to return to this restaurant. If you want to have a wonderful dining experience you should put this restaurant on your bucket list. You will not be sorry.

“So close and Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014

We took friends to Brunetto's on a Wed night when several other places were closed.
It's hard to know when this jewel is open. Four of us dined on different things and everything
was wonderful The mussels appetizer was the best!! Our friends from Long Island said the were
better than get in Long Island.

“This Local Gem is a Sure Thing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

Brunetto's is right of Exit 23 from the I-87 Northway, so it's super convenient, but the building is kind of confusing from the outside and I'd guess many drive past and never notice it. That's definitely their loss.

Inside, the place is warm and rustic, yet upscale, with these great wood-slab tabletops. It's a smaller place, so it has an intimate feel. The atmosphere is superb.

The food is excellent and gourmet in every sense, yet at reasonable prices. The steaks and seafood are sure-fire, but the real must-have item is the braised pork shank with raspberry glaze and mash. It's unreal! You'll talk about that dish for the next week.

Since the prices are reasonable there's a good mix of locals and out of towners. The place is a win for all!
