Marco Polo makes pizza that is nearly too heavy to carry because it is simply loaded with so many goodies. Even their cold antipasto has so much meat and cheese in it that it is a meal in itself for two! Combine a pizza with the antipasto and you could eat for a week. Oh, and chicken wings? Crispy, crispy, crispy fowl goodness.
if the portions were simply heavy and large, that would be one thing, but the weight and size reallly only mean much, much more of a good thing.
At Marco Polo's you are greated by Momma (watching TV by the door), Kevin and a big fat old dog. Momma and Kevin are formerly from South Beach on Staten Island. I don't know where the dog is from. South Beach is where Kevin learned the New York City style of pizza. Not to be limited to tomato, cheese and sauce, Marco Polo's white pie, everything pie, spicy buffalo chicken pie and our favorite, the bacony, cheesy, dressed with ranch dressing, ranch pie have to be eaten to be belived.
if you thought that only city pizza makers know how to make a world-class pizza pie, a visit to Marco Polo's will change your mind.
