“Over Priced for small Portions”

Went with the whole family(5). Even my granddaughter left hungry. The chef is delusional about his abilities. Nothing spectacular except the bill.

“Great Anniversary Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The service was impeccable, food with the wine pairing was awesome. Food was delicious wine was wonderful. If you are looking for a great place to eat for a celebration or just a nice dinner go here. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of service, food and wine. I recommend Amarelle and believe me you will not be disappointed.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Tucked away in the small town of Wading River this restaurant is not to be missed. We opted for the prixe fix where the chef picks your entree choices from the menu. We ordered the fish of the day with was monk fish and the country meatloaf made with bison. The portions were just the right size the the meal was cooked for perfection. Warm bread, cozy atmosphere. We will go back for the chefs tasting dinner for a long leisurely meal. The only drawback was the waitstaff wearing jeans.

“Food worth the visit!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

My first visit, prompted by a $40 dollar coupon, was a good experience. The wait staff, however, is not yet up to snuff. My fiancée and I tried half orders of the Amarelle salad and a main course of scallops and Kobe hangar steak followed by a piece of opera cake. The salad was very good although the portion could have been larger. The scallops (4) were excellent with a very nice sauce but would have enjoyed the company of some vegetables. My fiancée had a half order of the Kobe hangar steak which was correctly prepared and of a reasonable portion size for a half order. We ordered a local chardonay for $32 which was good and properly chilled. We concluded sharing a piece of opera cake which was excellent but too small for even one at $9. The bill with tax and tip was$132. The main problem was the staff who had us wait too long to take ours order and whom forgot to serve bread. Only one small slice was provided and this only after request with no further offering. In conclusion, the food was excellent, the salad portion and dessert should have been larger and the staff needs to work on their observation of what is on each table. Worth a try, look for a coupon!!!
