My wife and I spent a night at the lodge at Turning Stone and we had a superb time. Everything from the front desk arrival assistance -- to the wonderful room -- to the casino -- to the dinner at flowers -- to a fun filled night -- to a great breakfast in the morning and carefree checkout amounted to a wonderful trip an we will be back soon.

The only thing I regret is not making use of the wonderful spa or great golfing that we have taken advantage of before. I look forward to returning to Turning for another memorable trip!

Hubby comes here for a conference every year and I always enjoy tagging along. The rooms are a nice set up and the grounds around the lodge are a perfect place to relax, especially on a beautiful fall day. We just came back from Las Vegas and Turning Stone is a delight compared to all the contrived miles of walking through the LV casinos to get between any 2 points. At TS, you can go in the casino if you want but are never forced to trec through unless you wish to. The whole property is a nice size, plenty to see and do but not so large that your legs ache after the first day of walking around. It is a scenic property with a nice variety of relaxing activities, great restaurants and entertainment options, even if you aren't a gambler.

Room Tip: If I knew I'd tell you. I always ask for a room with a balcony overlooking the back gardens and...

Over the years I have stayed at least once at the three main hotels on offer at Turning Stone. The Lodge is far and away the best! As the casino (and other entertainment venues) have grown, so too has the level of opulence and quality of accommodation.

My most recent stay, in September of 2013, was my second at The Lodge; having been truly impressed with the jacuzzi suite during my previous stay, I requested the same room again. This double Queen bed suite consists of 3+ rooms. As you enter there's a small foyer that leads into the living room, with French-style doors providing access to the bathroom without having to go through the bedroom first. It's a large living room, with a sofa and chair arrangement around a lovely coffee table, and open floor space to stretch out before the TV.

Draw back the drapes to discover a wall of windows, in the center of which is the patio door leading to a large glass and stone private terrace. It comes complete with 2 chaise lounge-chairs & 2 regular chairs, with cushions for all, and a hot tub sized for up to 6 adults. The view is beautiful! Between the naturally scenic locale and the truly stunning landscaping, I'd be very surprised if any room at The Lodge offers a poor view!
The other set of French doors, off the living room, obviously lead to the bedroom. Here there's a second TV, ample closet space, a small nook with a desk and the ubiquitous coffee maker. Opposite the closets lies the interior set of French doors that lead into the bathroom. It is appointed with both a large tub and a separate glass-enclosed shower, a large vanity and sink, as well as a phone conveniently next to the toilet.
Returning from a day of golfing, gambling and gorging you'll find that a sumptuous terry cloth robe and slippers have been laid out for you during the evening's turn down service. Oh and, of course, a few chocolates on your pillow.

Most impressive of all are the staff, in every area of care and service I have yet to interact with anyone who didn't display the utmost professionalism while still seeming to genuinely care. It is quite clear that if there is anything you want, you just have to let someone know and it materializes at record speed. I highly recommend giving The Lodge a try, it is well worth the price!

Also, if possible, give the Skana Spa a try, even if you're not stay at The Lodge or anywhere on the property. It is a world of pampering and luxury onto itself! Plan an extra hour or so before your appointment so that you can do the purify waters ritual (see Skana's web site for details). It'll leave you feeling like a limp noodle, but in a good way!

Most of us would have to admit we’ve received our share of mediocre service from hotels in the past. However, some resorts are starting to "get it". They realize that in today's global marketplace, consumers have a greater number of choices than ever. From our experience this weekend receiving unparalleled customer attention The Lodge at Turning Stone definitely "gets it". Superlatives in service are rare these days but Carrie reached that level from the moment we checked into our beautiful suite. The dinner experience at TS Steakhouse was incredible- from the ambiance, to the view, to the food, to the service by an extremely attentive waiter (whose name unfortunately escapes me.) The Eggs Benedict served by Wildflowers at breakfast is one we will dream about until there next! The Skana spa treatments were some of the best we have ever received. Aaron provided a wonderful massage and Kate was equal with her skills in providing a soothing facial.
Just before leaving the resort after a wonderful weekend escape we stopped in the bar just off the lobby of The Lodge for a drink and, again, were pleasantly surprised. After mixing the perfect martini, sensing we were disappointed there wasn't any bar mix to snack on, without asking the bartender ordered homemade fresh hot potato chips with dip from the kitchen!
That did it for us- we immediately stopped by the front desk and requested Carrie reserve the same room, dinner reservations and spa services for us in December. If you are looking for a destination resort/spa with personalized service check out The Lodge at Turning Stone. Their attention to detail is top notch! In fact, Mirbeau now has some stiff competition in our reservation book! In case you are curious, we are not interested in gambling so were hesitant about staying at a spa resort associated with a casino. Boy did we make the right choice.

Room Tip: We stayed in the VIP Suite, Room 320 with a wrap around balcony and private hot tub. I am EXTREMELY...

If you ever get the chance to stay at the Lodge at Turning Stone, you certainly should. It is a bit expensive but well worth the extra for a special occasion. The staff is the best and the rooms will impress. Everyone connected with this property is well trained and professional. They make you feel like royalty. You won't be disappointed, it's perfect.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor near the pool should be avoided. Anything on second floor or higher are so muc...

My sister held her wedding at the Clubhouse and many groups from our family stayed at the Lodge. Everything was virtually perfect. The rooms compare with 5 star resorts around the world and the service is impeccable. The only (slight) downsides are the Wildflower Restaurant which is nice but the food is WAY too salty (I noticed that on a previous stay as well). Also, the Skana Spa is OK, but not really on par with what you would expect based on the rooms and the golf courses or other comparably priced spas.

Highly recommend the Clubhouse as a wedding venue. The Turningstone's wedding coordinators Allison and Jessica are the BEST!
