In my opinion, it's a travesty that this is not rated higher than Ripley's Believe it or Not! :) The interpretation centre gives a very nice overview and the paths are very well marked and maintained. We walked the short distance to the Greenwich Beach area and enjoyed walking along the water there - lovely cliffs and tide pools. Then we did the longer hike out to the dunes and the scenery around the floating boardwalk was one of the highlights of our whole trip. Absolutely stunning! We also happened to catch the sunset over the fields from the Tlaqatik path. The trails were still open even though the centre was closed by that point. Highly recommend!

We spent the day here. It was beautiful and the location was easy to find. This is a spot you must stop at. The natural sand dunes and waterfront is a must to see. We walked the boardwalk. This was a quiter are, Cavendish beach is very busy because it is near a campground and the Cavendish Boardwalk.

We were a bit disappointed to find the dunes have a lot of grass on them, but found out this is actually healthy for the habitat. So we didn't find what we were expecting, but still very beautiful and unusual marshy boardwalk area waiting to be explored.

The host at our B & B suggested that we drive to a less-visited part of the PEI National Park at Greenwich and we ar so glad we did. First, the drive there was through the most amazing fields of shiny yellow mustard flowers (it was July). There are two distinct nature trails to take. We had not planned to do noth but the beauty of the place compelled us to do that once we were there. The boardwalk across the marsh was one of the highlights. The interpretive displays answered many questions. The park was in lovely condition, it's very accesible for all ages and walking abilities and we felt spoiled by the variety of wildlife and plants. Saw an osprey carrying a fish to its nest and could hear the baby birds screaming for their lunch.
This was one of the least crowded experiences we had on all of PEI. Lots of parking at the trailhead.

Interesting displays and an excellent video. I believe it was only 10 minutes long, but it packed in a ton of information in an interesting and informative manner. Go upstairs for the best view. The hike through the forest, and floating boardwalk was easy. only a bit of a climb at the end over the dunes to reach the beach. Beautiful!
