“Nice Marriott, but can be pricey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Rooms was nice and wll-appointed, however, hallway noise is a problem is you want to go to sleep early, or sleep past 7 am. Hotel has dropped free breakfast buffet on weekends for Marriott Rewards members. If elite you do have access to the lounge Sunday-Friday which helps somes. Nice spot if you are attending an event at the arena across the parking lot.

If you have appointments on Long Island, this hotel provides easy access to most of the major arteries on Long Island. Close to JFK and LGA, but a cab ride might be pricey. The concierge lounge is very well stocked with coffee, wine and beer and the breakfasts feature real eggs and a choice of breakfast meats. Located next door to Veterans Memorial Coliseum be mindful of any sports events and schedule around them. Driving can be painful during these events. Rooms were clean and spacious. The on-site restaurants are a bit pricey and don't offer much variety. Definitely an area for improvement. The staff are top notch professionals.

I would stay here again.

Clean hotel. Strange area. Surrounded by parking lots and concrete jungle. Next to hockey arena, so great for travel if you have game tickets. I ran a half marathon, traveled there to see Long Island. Big hotel-an island in the middle of an ocean of parking lots and concrete.

Usual well done marriott property. Easy parking, good looking lobby. I did not stay in a room. conference center was modern and clean. Food was very good and plenty of attention by staff to cleaning up tables etc. Exhibition rooms a bit small , but ok.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are dated but seemed very clean. What makes this hotel better than most was the service. Everyone I encountered was very nice and very helpful. We were very impressed by Brooke who manages the Champions Sports Bar and Prime Seasons restarant. We were there for a wedding and they made our stay fantastic. She and her crew handled several parties and did it with ease. The next morning breakfast buffet was great. Things were a little pricey but I found that to be the case throughout New York. The train station is very close for getting to the city and they had transportation available for a reasonable price. There are many things around the hotel that make it an ideal location.

Room Tip: If you need a refrigerator call and they will get it to you. We didn't have one and within10 m...

I had stayed at the Uniondale Marriott a few times this summer while traveling to NY. It is centrally located and public transport is near. Staff is quite pleasent and accommodating. The comfortable updated rooms have nice beds and were very clean. The room service menu has a good selection and the delivery staff prompt and courteous. The breakfast buffet serves fresh omeletts to order and has good selection. The pool and hot tub are fine but the large space they are in is badly in need of updating. Overall a great place to stay.

Room Tip: East facing rooms have view of the adjacent woods, west side faces Nassau Coliseum and large parking...

This is a very nice Hotel (huge) in a fabulous location right behind the Nassau Coliseum and 1/2 mile from the highway. Room was spacious and well appointed. Fitness center is fabulous and had something for everyone. Only downside to this hotel is that they charge extra for everything and way too much. Albeit food, drinks, internet, etc. It is more of a business hotel and as such they price everything accordingly. But as long as you are aware of this then it is very nice and you will enjoy your stay.
