Bill...a somewhat belated Happy Anniversary. We are so glad that you chose Halsey House for your visit to the Finger Lakes and that our breakfasts and accommodations were better than what you had expected; we do appreciate the nice review. We hope that you were able to get in the horseback riding as planned before you returned home and we also hope that you will grace us with your company again.

I spent a weekend with my daughter recently at Halsey House and had a fantastic time! We stayed in the Serenity room which lived up to it's name. Large room with cozy seat and ottoman, table with 2 chairs and a beautiful, high king sized bed. The linens and pillows were luxurious and the bed itself was extremely comfortable. We had slept like babies.

The breakfast offered was again, just beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The first day we had fresh fruit with a scoop of sherbet, Apple Danish and the main breakfast was herbed eggs on some type of roll with sausage gravy. The 2nd day we had a poached pear with crumb topping, waffle/cinnamon bread blackberry French toast with creme anglais and warm syrup, chicken sausage and fruit and potatoes. Just wonderful.

However, the best part about this place was David and David the charming owners. Such pleasant gentlemen eager to assist you any way they can. They keep the house immaculately clean and think of everything you may need. Excellent recommendation for dinner as well.

I will be back!

We so enjoyed having you both here at Halsey House and hope that you will return (perhaps with your sister) . We do believe that hospitality begins with cleanliness and comfort and the rest sort of flows from there. We do enjoy being hosts to such warm and friendly guests and being available to answer questions about the area, where to dine, etc and otherwise meet the needs of our guests as they get away from the real world for a few days and take time to relax and reconnect.

Our two night(4/25-4/26) stay at the Halsey House BB was a great experience. It was our first time at a BB and we picked the perfect place. The David's are incredible hosts and full of information on what to do. They keep the place in pristine condition-hard to tell that it was built in the early 1800's. The attention to detail taken when making the breakfast was incredible. The breakfast was GREAT!!! The location is just right: a few miles down is downtown Ithaca and the many falls are near by. Also, the distance to the wine trails are close by too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE HALSEY HOUSE!!! Thank you David and David!!!

What a nice weekend it was and we loved having you here and enjoying a few days away from city life. We are equally pleased that we provided a great first B&B experience for you and that our gift certificate for you to dine at Hazelnut Kitchen or perhaps our breakfasts have enticed you to return again. Till then...have safe travels.

Stayed three nights at Halsey House encompassing Easter and our 20th Wedding Anniversary. David and David are great hosts and the house was fantastic. We loved the breakfasts each morning and the guys were very helpful with advice to ensure we made the most of our stay. It was the relaxing getaway we hoped it would be. Thanks for everything and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we get back up to the Finger Lakes region!!!

IF you get back to the Finger lakes? You really should return to this delightful area and see it in the Summer and Fall when the skies are clear blue, the grass, trees and vineyards are green, the flowers in bloom and the air crisp and clean and so welcoming. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay here at Halsey House and found it a quite spot to relax and reconnect with one another in anticipation for another wonderful 20 years.

This was our first B and B experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Our innkeepers were helpful in recommending things to do in the area, the home is an oasis of relaxation and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning. All in all, we are now hooked on B and Bs! You won't be disappointed if you choose Halsey House!

We stayed one night at Halsey House after a great day of spring skiing at Greek Peak, just 40 minutes away. The house is in pristine condition, lovingly cared for by David and Dave. The room was comfortable and spacious, the gas fire kept us cozy, and the enormous shower was restorative.

We wish more skiers would make the trip to Halsey House as it really is not that far away. So glad you liked the showers, they are all good sized and several have multiple heads to ease away tense and tired muscles...perfect after a day on the slopes. Great seeing you both.

My husband and I stayed two nights in the Indulgence Room. It was wonderful! David and David were wonderful hosts and the breakfasts were amazing. As the parents of two small children, this was just the retreat we needed from our busy day to day routine.

We were so sorry that you and Dan had to leave before enjoying our Bananas Foster French Toast; perhaps you can find time to get away again and we will be sure to cook up something special (hoping that Dan will then be able to eat more than egg white). We send our best wishes to him for a successful half marathon. Remind him of the great near-by running trails that will be open come warmed weather.
