“Luxurious and Relaxing”
Reviewed December 2, 2008

My fiance and I stayed here while visiting my sister at Cornell. Such a beautiful place to stay - our room was out-of-this world and exceeded our expectations. SO nice - very comfortable bed, fire place, heated bathroom floor... etc! Breakfast was very yummy. The house is in a great location - about a 12 minute drive to downtown Ithaca, but in a very cute small town (go to Hazelnut Kitchen for dinner). Bruce was so helpful and accommodating - there is so much to do in the area, just ask him for his suggestions. If visiting Ithaca or this region, stay here!! (although I warn you, you may not want to leave your room).

My husband and I just spent a night at Juniper Hill and could not have asked for more. I booked this accommodation based on the Trip Advisor review and rating. I was not disappointed! We stayed in the John Singer Sargent Room. The room was luxurious yet cosy, intimate and romantic. The room had a queen four poster bed, gas fireplace and double whirlpool. Highly recommend. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very by Bruce. He has thought of every little detail, from homemade cookies and treats to snack on, luxurious robes and linens and coffee in the morning outside the room, . The house is very centrally located and we walked to to dinner at The Hazelnut Kitchen (best dinner and service ever). Bruce and Dave have done an amazing job with Juniper Hill. It truly is a labor of love. Every detail of design has been taken into consideration, yet the house does not feel "staged" in anyway. We enjoyed the artwork and antiques without feeling overwhelmed. Breakfast was an event in itself. We enjoyed a three course meal, including a pumpkin spice breakfast soup, strawberry bread pudding and apple pancakes. Delicious! If you are looking for a romantic getaway this is a perfect choice.

My husband and I just returned from a 2-night midweek stay at Juniper Hill. For starters, you will NEVER find a better deal and to top it off, you will NEVER find lovelier accommodations and a more pleasant and attentive innkeeper as Bruce. Bruce and David have created precisely what one looks for in a B&B; it is sumptuous and elegant in every way, yet has the warmth and comfort of a welcoming home. Other reviewers have written of the extensive collection of artwork and period furnishings. All are displayed in such a way that one does not feel like a visitor in a museum; the carefully chosen pieces are meant to be lived with and enjoyed. I was almost hoping for dreadful weather as an excuse to stay inside and read from the vast assortment of magazines and books available or watch another movie from the library in our cozy Lilian Wescott Hale room. Breakfast served fireside with Celeste, the resident Jack Russell, and her new puppy brother, Cody, an adorable (and well-mannered) goldendoodle stretched out under the table completed the perfect scene. Seemed like Christmas morning-- or maybe it was just the lovely sound of Aled Jones singing "When Walking in the Air" playing softly over the sound system. Truly, nothing will disappoint you.

We stayed here one night only, but we will come back, The host was very pleasant and interesting. The B&B is a mix of a lovely & cozy country home, yet with all the touches you would expect from the world's finest hotels. The rooms are great, the food is wonderful, and the surroundings in the home are unique!!! Highly, highly recommended,

If you haven't made your reservations yet, make them now!! Beautiful accomodations, gorgeous artwork, comfortable beds and superb host! I don't know how Bruce manages to keep this wonderful gem so clean and inviting. The home is filled with so many beautiful antiques and decorated so amazingly, yet not a speck of dust to be found. Bruce's breakfasts are not only delicious, but so filling we needed to cancel our lunch reservations. Bruce is an enjoyable host and will provide you with any information you need. Juniper Hill is located in a convenient area close to hiking, vineyards, antiquing, shopping and some wonderful restuarants (don't miss Hazelnut Kitchen). Best B&B my husband & I ever stayed in!!! We felt right at home!

Quite simply this was a dream getaway. From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP's. The room was comfortable and beautiful. The attention to detail was amazing, even the wallpaper in the bathroom(some kind of silver flake) was incredible. Aside from the comfortability no amenity was left to chance; from entertainment, to snacks to early pre-breakfast coffee right outside the room... The breakfast itself was like dining in a fancy restaurant. The host, Bruce, was friendly and eager to please. All in all it was the best weekend getaway we have ever had.

We went for only 3 days, and I say only because I could have stayed an additional week! Bruce and David (and Celeste) made us feel at home.

Our room was amazing. Like all the rooms at the inn, we had had a flat screen tv and dvd player in our room, the inn has a dvd library. Our room also had a fireplace, king sized bed and a jacuzzi. We were in heaven.

Bruce's breakfasts were always 3 courses and elegantly served. The food was wonderful. Bruce thoughtfully puts out coffee, tea and some light fare for those super early risers and there was always a cake in the dining room for guests to snack on.

Bruce always asked about our plans for the day and provided information, directions & brochures for all of the local attractions.

The service, food, hospitality and room were all first rate. Juniper Hill is a place we will return to. Bruce, David and Celeste certainly made my birthday a very special day!
