I stayed here for a convention. It was a good convention Hotel well outside NYC. If you want to in and out of the city this is not the place. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and with all the usual amenities. The catered food was on par with other hotels of the type. I you were dropped inside you might not have any idea that you weren't in Boston or LA. The staff were friendly and well trained. I too was miffed by the WIFI charge, but less than Honolulu.

My complaint seems to be a continuing issue with people who have stayed at this hotel. I question the need to charge $12 a day for WIFI in your room. There is free WIFI in the lobby so why the nickle dime charge for in room WIFI? The workout room has and abundance of fitness equipment that is as good as any commercial fitness center. If you are using GPS to find the hotel be advised that my GPS said the hotel was on the wrong side of the street. The staff was very friendly and all in all the facility is one I would recommend.

They made what could've been a very long awful week a delightful stay! The lovely people here even made the effort to rinse the sheets in water, so that I wouldn't have allergic reaction to their detergent.

Despite going through some renovations, the hotel is running smoothly. I enjoyed my business trip here for two weeks and actually look forward to the next jaunt to NY.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor. If you're a Silver Elite or above, there's a concierge lounge on the 9th floor for breakfast and then at night it's an honor bar. I highly recommend it.

Nice place with good service and clean rooms and attentive staff but $13 for Wi-Fi is ridiculous and they put a new system for the elevators which has no buttons inside the elevator so it's confusing if you want to change your mind.

I stayed here with my family (wife & 2-yr-old) for two days while on business.

Lots to like:
* Clean!
* Concierge floor was unbelievably helpful with food needs since other eateries are not convenient to this location.
* Concierge area was a nice treat for a little nightcap too.
* Amenities like pool & hot tub were excellent and well serviced.
* Staff is second to none. Extremely friendly and helpful!
* Aesthetics were welcoming and warm despite construction.
* The bed was awesome. Put us out cold each night!
* Kids pack-n-play in nice shape.
* Yummy cookies in lobby!

Room for improvement:
* Cleaning staff woke up my kid from his nap despite card in door saying we're all set.
* Navigating from parking lot to hotel was weird thanks to construction.
* Got a newspaper one day but not the next. Weird.
* Charging $13 for wi-fi. Seriously guys? Why not charge for luggage as well?
* Location is isolated from everything else. The downtown of Tarrytown is quaint so recommend the short drive there to check it out.

Nice place. Sounds like Tappan Zee Bridge construction will fill the place up in time, so book early.
