Had dinner reservations for this evening, made over a month ago. Boy,were we surprised when we showed up and they were closed. The sign over the door was gone. It seems like some work was going on inside. I don't know if they went out of business or are just remodeling. Needless to say, we were very pissed off. Thankfully, the Tarry Tavern, just a few doors down, was an amazing substitute with great food. If anyone knows what happened to Isabella's, please let us all know.

Good food. Didn't seem like a tourist trap or hang out like many other Tarrytown places. Staff was nice. Men's room needs some work, and it would be better with no giant TV, but at least the sound was off.

Prices were reasonable for this town. Fair value.

Isabella's is located off the Main Street at the less popular end of one of the principal dining streets which is a pity as it deserves more profile.
My woke and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here which we limited to a main course each plus a vegetable side dish.
Both of the mains were excellent. My wife had the seafood special which was exceptionally generous in the content of lobster, clams, prawns, calamari, fish in a light but flavoursome tomato based sauce. I opted for the lobster ravioli which was equally well prepared and flavoursome with a light tomato/cream based sauce.
If there are better Italian restaurants around in Tarrytown, they would have to be very good to beat this little gem

We decided to stroll Tarrytown on a recent visit to NY for a family party. We had no idea where to eat, so we checked menus along the Main Street. Liked the look and menu for Isabella's. The food was fresh, tasty and well prepared. All sauces were distinctive and home made. My.mussels were excellent and my partners veal dish was excellent as well. I recommend it highly.

What a beautiful, warm, inviting place! We stopped here for a drink before getting the train back to the city, having just had brunch. The place is beautiful, the bartender is friendly and attentive. He told us about the nearby music hall, and our chat made us want to come back, dine here and see a show.
