“Pleasant surprise!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Staff was freindly and accomodating. Great room that was clean and roomy with a flat screen HD TV. Beds were comfortable and wireless worked very well. Convenient to thru-way...... Restaurant was also a pleasant surprise.

We stayed two jacuzzi suites during the New York State Fair.

One room had a really, really funky odor. I'm not sure if someone had overflowed the jacuzzi or what the cause of the odor might be. We asked the front desk if we could change rooms and was told that there weren't any other jacuzzi suites available. The room otherwise seemed okay.

The worst part of staying in the jacuzzi rooms was that the rooms didn't seem larger than a standard room and given the footprint of the jacuzzi there is only the beds, TV/stand, and a small table with one chair in it in the room and that was it. One chair!! That meant that if you had two or more people in your room that they'd have to sit on the bed most of the time. Just seemed really odd and was really annoying after a while.

Ate at the hotel restaurant. Wasn't impressed at all. They only had one waitress working and it took forever to get our food, which was mediocre at best. They do have "groupon" style deals for it online if you do a little searching. Still wasn't worth it in our opinion.

We swam in the pool, which was okay but basic. I don't think it was heated, but I'm not certain.

Bar was nice and the bartender was friendly. That was the highlight of our stay, which isn't saying much.

Most likely would not stay here again. Obviously I realize this isn't a Four Seasons, but I do expect certain minimum standards and I think it was lacking in most of them.

We stayed here for one night while traveling from city to city. The room was clean, quiet and everything was working. Flat screen TV. Fast wifi. Nothing to complain about and all that for $45 plus tax, booked via priceline.co

Couple of things to mention: the side entrances do not have ramps, only stairs. So if you're in the side wings and don't want to carry your luggage you have to enter via the front. There is also not much choice for food in the area.

Driving from Toronto, CAN to NYC and stopped for the night in Syracuse. MUST SEE is a stop in Niagara Falls! WOW, what a cool place to visit. Anyway, hotel in Syracuse was a booking from an online provider. Average hotel in average area. SUPER CLOSE to freeway access made navigation easy. Hotel is dated and needs an upgrade. Room was comfy, clean and what was expected. Nothing fancy here so if you are looking for a resort, look elsewhere. If you need a hotel to stay for business of a stop on your drive, price for the area cannot be beat! VERY NICE check-out staff with no issues. Overall good hotel. PS - PILLOW TOP BEDS make for a very good sleep.

Room Tip: Lobby has stairs to rooms so be ready to haul your luggage down/up the stairs.

This hotel needs an update badly! The long dark hallways and lack of anything half way appealing makes it "feel" pretty nasty. But surprise - the rooms were ok. The beds were comfortable and the rooms seemed clean. We were given a room at the far back (Entrance E) and could not access internet at all. I returned to the front desk and asked for another room - and they were great about moving us up to the front of the hotel (Entrance B). Internet was fine in the new room. Breakfast was ok - typical tasteless stuff, but they did have some fried eggs and waffles, which were ok - but nothing special. The area surrounding the hotel is very industrial. But using Yelp, we found a GREAT Thai restaurant about 3-5 miles away and that find made our evening.

My husband I went to the Dirt Races in Syracuse and we stayed at this hotel. The only room with King bed available was one with a bathtub right in the room. It was pretty beaten up. The bathroom was awful, tiles loose, stained sinks and bathtub, rotten faucet handles.... that said, the bed was awesome!! It was clean and restful. The hotel has plenty of parking and many different entrance doors, so your car is always close by. They offer hot breakfast which consist on waffles, sausage and egg. The lady that works the breakfast is very nice and accommodating. The lobby is nice and clean. They have a 24 hour fitness center, free Wi-Fi that actually works good, vending and ice machine. If you get a better room than we did, it would be worth the money.

Room Tip: Not the one with hot tubs in it.
