“Good pub food, great nachos”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

I almost always get the nachos with blackened chicken. They are usually delicious. I got them as take out last week and they were burnt and overcooked. But normally they're very good. I love their salads. They delcious and the thai tender salad is very creative. Burgers and wraps are great too. We come here at least a couple times a month. They're usually able to do a quick turnaround for a lunch hour meal.

“Really great food not far from Armory Square.”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

I started going to the Bull and Bear last summer. I got tired of going to other places in Armory Square and paying over seven dollars for a craft brewed beer. This place is an easy walk from Armory Square and the atmosphere is great in the summer. The food was way better than I had anticipated. They serve a maple butter with the sweet potato fries. It sounds weird but it tastes great. I have had the Vermonter burger twice, it tasted so good the first time I ordered it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Everyone I have taken there has enjoyed their food also.
No they don't have over twenty taps with a multitude of craft beers, but they do have at least five craft beers and a selection of domestic and imports that should appeal to just about everyone. Free popcorn and friendly staff make this a good place to kick back.

“Good Food!”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Had dinner here at about 6PM on Saturday evening. The menu is not extensive, but the Vermont Burger I had was outstanding. It came with soup which was also delicious. My wife had a chicken sandwich which she enjoyed as well. Prices are pretty good. Don't go for the atmosphere or ambiance, it is really more of a bar than a restuarant, but if you're looking for a good sandwich at a reasonable price in downtown Syracuse, this fits the bill!

“Outdoor seating in lovely Hanover Square”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

I recently enjoyed lunch at Bull & Bear and thought more people should have been there! The food was great, I had a chipotle chicken pita with the best sweet potato fries, maple butter was provided as a dip for the fries, yummy. My friend had a wrap sandwich and some mac and cheese that was also very good. It isn't just your typical bar food, there was more flair put into it. Each plate also came with a homemade chocolate chip cookie that was a perfect finish. Overall a great experience, great food, good price, and a lovely view of the fountain and old architecture in Hanover.
