Excellent pub fare: I got a chicken/bacon foccacia, and was not at all disappointed. And they have an impressive selection of micro-brews from around the country. Some of the bartenders seemed too busy to be bothered, but I got a nice guy who gave me a very good IPA, and I can definitely recommend this place!

I've been to the Blue Tusk a few times for lunchand frankly have never been that impressed with the food. I don't like having to go up and get my lunch fast food style where they contact you with a handheld buzzer. I find the place not overly clean. On the plus side it is in an excellent downtown location and there is a shuttle that runs from downtown to the university hill for SU games. OK for a cold beer before the game.

If in Syracuse , you have to go here for a drink before dinner. Many , many beers on tap while people watching in downtown Syracuse. The Blue Tusk tie-dyed T-shirt is a must also.

I love the Blue Tusk, but ... it may not be for everyone.

I have been here 3 times now, and it's becoming a great stopping off place between Albany and Buffalo. Sandwiches here are excellent and reasonably priced. Beer pours are generous (I think they use imperial pints) but prices are a bit steep and vary from tap to tap -- so, if you are price sensitive, be sure to ask for the price before giving a final order. (One tap was $9/pint! The special of the day, however was just $3.50. Most pours were between $5 - $6/pt.)

The setting is a lovely rehab of an older classy restaurant and the service is very polite and professional. One of the more upcale places to enjoy a beer or glass of wine at when in Armory Square.
