“Excellent dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014

I grew up in Syracuse, but live in Europe. This place has excellent, unhurried service, great cocktails and the food and wine are tops, Enjoyed the lobster cocktail and the signatur dish shrimp pasta pie. Can't get that in Italy ! Yummmm! Don't miss the great California cabernet they offered.

atmosphere, food, service, they were all outstanding. Ordered slightly outside of menu too...no issues at all.

“excellent food, quality service, and an interesting blend of guests”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

It's amazing that this place isn't overwhelmed with guests every day it's open. A well-kept secret in Syracuse.

“Nice dinner......BUT.....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

This place was impressive from when we walked in, but on a Wednesday night at 7:00 pm, the place was empty. That's fine with me, which usually translates to a speedy dinner service, which it was. The food was very good, Veal Vincenzo ( 24.95). The biggest downfall of this place is the silverware. We were stunned at the low grade, cafeteria style forks and knives. The place emits an upscale atmosphere ( minimum meal $ 24.95) yet the utensils were of cheap grade stamped metal quality. I commented to the waitress and she said " everyone says that". Well, if everyone says that, then change it. After dinner, we went to the bar and the bartender, Albert, was quite good. He gave the place the feel as if we were in a member's only club. Nice place to go if you want a quite, private bar where the bartender knows you and your drink. The only problem with the place was the silverware. It cheapened the experience. If they were worried about tableware disappearing, then I am certain the prices they charge would more than cover the loss, but people who are willing to pay these prices usually aren't in the habit of taking the silverware home with them Would we go again? Maybe, but there are many other restaurants in Syracuse that offer upscale atmosphere and you don't get the feeling the owner is watching to make certain you aren't taking her dollar store silverware.

“Casual but elegant dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013

Julie's is the local, special restaurant. It has continental cuisine that is on the high side of prices - about $25 per entree. I had the signature pasta pie that was quite good and filling.
