What an incredible restaurant that combines all of the best elements for a superb meal. First, the ambience and decor are perfect for a romantic night out; each area of the restaurant is set up to make it seem as if it doesn't seat as many people as it actually does, lending a feeling of a more intimate setting. We chose to sit at the bar for a cocktail and the higher vantage point of the bar stool, so we could survey the surroundings for our next meal plans. There is plenty of outdoor seating available and although it was too cold to eat outside, it looked very inviting and look forward to coming back in the warmer months. The drinks provided by Brian, our bartender were spot on; "cool as a cucumber martini" for my girlfriend- excellent presentation complete with shredded pieces of cucumber made for a crisp and refreshing drink. As for me, if I can order a Belvedere martini, I will- and did. It was also spot -on and I'm always pleased when I don't regret ordering my favorite drink.
Not being terribly hungry, we took the advice of our bartender and ordered a crock of french onion soup for her and a bowl of the lobster bisque for me (pictures added) Both arrived hot and delicious and being pretty much staples in better restaurants, we thought the two soups were excellent, even compared to other very good restaurants in the area. We had been advised that the sushi here was as good as anywhere on the island so ordered the Rare650 classic roll. The presentation was perfect and the taste was really, and I mean REALLY, great.
For dessert we were promised the glazed doughnuts and profiteroles were sure to satisfy and they did! (pictures added as well) Our coffee was brought out hot and delicious and although i would have preferred my chambord in a snifter, EVERYTHING was all in line for a Really Perfect Meal. Don't wonder if we will back because I'm very eager to return- and soon.
