The carriages and museum artifacts are wonderful beautiful and something everyone should see. Children will run around with wonder. Stony brook is a beautiful place to visit. The inn at Stony Brook is a great place to have a meal and a nice cold drink in the original pub. The beautiful pond and SUNY University is an exceptional site to take in. If you are super smart you might be able to attend this inter

“Excellent Museum”

This museum is easy to get to and has a very good history of Long Island. The displays are very informative and easy to understand. The price is reasonable.

“A Day of beauty and culture”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

I visited this museum a few years ago on a day trip. I had not heard of it and was not expecting much. I was wrong this museum is beautiful full of carriages and art. It is worth a visit. Pack a lunch and head out to Long Island. I thinks the kids will like it too. They are closed until March but Thursdays are 2 for 1 addmission. Worth the drive!
