“Trying the 2 meals for $20 special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

We saw the ad and hadn't been there for a while, so we tried it. The deal is that for $20 you get one appetizer (buffalo chicken tenders and spinach/artichoke dip were on offer) as well as 2 main courses (club steak, pork chop, 1/2 chicken, turkey meat loaf were examples, mostly with potatoes and vegetables) and one dessert to share. They also give you a bread basket with rolls, flatbread and packaged bread sticks, but the menu specifically points out that there is "No Pickles and Cole Slaw" with the special. The food was OK. The club steak was small (no shock there) but good. The turkey meat loaf was good. The appetizer was drenched in buffalo sauce, and definitely would have benefited from a side of ranch dressing, but apparently, that was off hiding with the pickles and cole slaw. So in summary, nothing to go out of your way for, but certainly an adequate meal.

“Not A Good Diner At All”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

While visiting Staten Island (native lifelong) last Saturday, had no place in mind so I thought the standard diner could not be a bad idea. Boy! was I wrong. My husband ordered the Spinach Salad (no hard boiled egg, no bacon) very skimpy on every ingredient. I think it was over $10.00 for a plate of junk. I asked for a chicken souvalki, the waitress said to have chicken vs. beef, lamb or pork it would be an additional $2.00? What? I said fine, no problem. I asked if I could have onion rings vs. fries, that also, an additional $2.00. My pita and onion rings quickly turned into a 14.00 plate! If the sandwich was good and tasty I would not even be overly concerned about being ripped off. However, it was smothered in white sauce and greasy. Total waste of money. Almost forgot to mention that the service was lousy and not one smile in the entire place.
