“*good italian food reasonable prices*”

i have eaten here many times its relatively consistent, i recommend the thin crust pizza it is excellent also try the fried calamari with nucci house sauce, my favorite is veal sorrentino you can also have it made with chicken if you don't care for the veal, service is good the atmosphere is of an old fashioned Italian eatery, you can make a reservation if you like weekends can get crowded, we just go whenever the wait is really not to long they have a bar you can get a cocktail if you like while you wait , there is additional parking directly across the road in another lot if the main plaza lot is full....

“Don't go there !!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

Well. Where to start. All bread were cold. Salad dressing looked like p**p. bad presentation. I ordered spaghetti broccoli and $3 added meatballs. Don't think they were fresh, more like dog food for me. Spaghetti were floating in water and were really plan, no flavor even with dry Parmesan. Really bad experience for my 1st italian in staten island. My husband ordered pork, says it was quite dry and presentation really bad. They offered us for compensation. Coffee et dessert but thinking even that might be not fresh we declined there offer. Total $40 for 4 shrimp and asparagus as starter, 1 beer, 1 juice and 1 pork entrees. Bravo NUCCI'S. We will never come back and remember our night !!!

“Great food! Nice service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2011

I have been to this restaurant at least 100 times. Food is consistently good. They have an early bird menu which is $15.95 for small appetizer, soup or salad, entree and coffee and dessert available before 6 p.m. M through Thurs.

Owners are friendly. Staff is attentive and happy.

Menu is very large and prices are moderate.

Highly recommend.

“great place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2010

This is like the throw back to old fashion italian restaurants. Went there for Sunday dinner, meat in the gravy for two. It was 32 bucks and it came with two meatballs, two pork braciolle, two sausages and two pork.

Great price and atmosphere. Even though people were waiting, they do not ruch you out of the joint like some american restaurants do. Similiar to eating in Rome.

Try it, you won't be sorry

“wouldn't go back”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2010

let's just say - sitting at a table for 3 hours for dinner is a bit much, YES 3 HOURS FOR DINNER! - from the time we sat down @ our table to the time we got up to leave was 3 HOURS! - that's a bit much if you ask me - and it's no 'fancy' place - it sits in a strip mall .. plain plastic tables with table cloths over them ... people are dressed in sweat pants and such .. some people are dressed nicer .. but do NOT need to "dress up" for this place! .. it's as casual as u can get!

calamari was VERY chewy .. bread was good tho! .. i got the special which was a spicy seafood pasta dish - the seafood was SO overcooked, even the lobster in the dish was not edible - it was just SO overcooked! .. but the 'sauce' itself was good! .. boyfriend go shrimp parm and again the shrimp were VERY overcooked! - but the pasta was al dente, which i DO like! .. so go figure .. SEAFOOD TOO OVERCOOKED, pasta done just right al-dente, and sauce was good! ..

VERY overpriced for the food - and portions look big b/c they put them on oversized plates, but in reality it's nothing to talk about - THANK god for the bread = b/c that's pretty much what we ate the whole 3 hours we were there .. service was VERY slow .. drinks SUPER expensive and NO alcohol in them! .. had 5 cosmo's and NO buzz .. 1 i usually get a buzz and 2 i'm DONE for the night .. had 5 and NOTHING .. and $11 a drink, i expect a buzz!

There's MANY other Italian places in Staten Island i would go - many many many option - don't chose this one .. waste of money and time !!!!
