This place has the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen for a wedding. The foliage is beautiful, the gazebo is huge and the grounds are private and very well kept...unfortunately that is where the positive I have to say about this hotel ends.

I was part of a large wedding party for a wedding that took place here at the end of June. For starters, the bride requested joining rooms for the bridal party (8 women). When we went to check in the bride was told that our rooms were given away due to a "miscommunication" that they blamed the bride for. We were told several times that we would be phoned for some kind of compensation and never were. The staff people were very professional..at passing the buck. No one took responsibility for their foul up, management was very rude and needless to say the bride was very upset.

I am submitting this from the hotel as we are in the middle of this nightmare..more to follow after the actual wedding..

This is another case of a hotel that could be excellent and just isn't. We've been at the Garden Inn for a week now and have had 2 different rooms.
The minus:
When we first arrived they didn't have any king beds so we took a room with a double. The beds in the first room were awful - uneven and lumpy. Unfortunately when we moved into a King bed room the next night the bed was even worse and sags badly in the middle. Hilton properties are known for their excellent beds and bedding but this Garden Inn sure missed the boat on that! The beds are lumpy and old and the sheets are cheap. The bedspread is one of the cheap ones you'd find at Motel 6 - all scratchy, stiff polyester.
The walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear the conversation of anyone next door or in the hallway. The cooler/heater doesn't work very well - it is either full on and freezing or off.
The showers seem to be on some sort of meter or something. After about 5 minutes the water gets ice cold but if you shut it off and then turn it back on it's warm again...for about 5 minutes. This has happened every day so I know it's not just a fluke.
We haven't used the pool or other facilities because every evening they seem to have them rented out for kid's pool parties so there are dozens of children running all over the place.

The plus:
The rooms are good sized and well layed out.
The restaurant is very good (we've only eaten dinner - I can't say for the breakfast or lunch). The room service is fast and delivers a meal just as it would be in the dining room.
