We recently spent four days in Speculator. We ate here every night. Thursday night is lobster night. It was fabulous and very reasonably priced. They have quite a large and diverse menu for a small town eatery. The wait staff was very personable. Also had the prime rib and seafood pasta in subsequent nights. All the meals were terrific.

Went to Logan's while in Speculator camping nearby. Our meals were very good and we had an enjoyable time. The one challenge was the service. Not that our waitress wasn't doing her job, it was that she seemed to be the only waitress in the place. We and everyone else were vying for her attention. Other than that, the atmosphere was quaint, parking convenient. I would go again (and hope for full/adequate staffing).

I was anticipating an excellent meal and was not disappointed. It is not often that you find a family style restaurant and bar with a classically trained chef. But with Steve's background the meals were not pretentious but down home with a flavor pallet not often seen in such a simple setting. My flank steak po-boy was outstanding. My wife had the turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich and was equally delighted as was two others in our party. The soup of the day was Manhattan Clam Chowder and one of our paddlers had and enjoyed it.

The service was a bit slow but as it was between the lunch and dinner, staffing was a bit below optimal. But that said they were very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I would highly recommend Logan's to anyone going to the Central Adirondack region. It's well worth the drive and we look forward to making another stop in the near future.

We took a trip last week of February and we stopped at Logan's to eat lunch. OMG!! The burgers are ground sirloin meat, the wings are awesome, the Onion rings delicious. I am a fan of the food at this place! They have a separate bar with cowboy theme. It is family owned and it deserves a great review. I want to go back to eat there!
