This was our 8th visit to Moffitt Beach Campground and we have never been dissappointed in having made the 5 hour drive to camp here. It is a NY State-run facility and is impeccably maintained. Clean bathrooms (with flush toilets), clean shower house with hot (well, sort of) and free showers, great beach area, and fantastic camp sites. Set on gorgeous Sacanadaga Lake, there are at least 35 lakeside sites that are just perfect - partially or completely shaded, well cleared, great fire pit, and access to the lake either to swim or launch a small boat or kayak. We've never found a place we prefer. Also a good location from which to explore the area . . . this last trip, we drove and hour and half and enjoyed the races at Saratoga.
