We stayed in the Garden Room on a late summer Saturday night and it was the perfect place for a quick getaway from the city. The room was seriously charming with great light. Elizabeth's service was spectacular--she was warm, welcoming and accessible but without being too accessible, which made for a nice, private homey feel. The breakfast exceeded my expectations! 5 minute drive to Cooper's Beach, real cozy and quaint feel, great amenities. We hope to be back!

My boyfriend and I needed a break from the city and stayed for a week at Mainstay. We had a wonderful vacation, the house is beautiful and each room unique and thoughtfully decorated. Our room was light and airy, surrounded by trees, with lots of windows and a nice breeze at night. Mainstay is easygoing and comfortable, it felt like we were in a home with the perfect host. Close to the beach and the town. Elizabeth was welcoming and inviting, offering suggestions, and made sure we enjoyed our stay.Thank you!

We were lucky to find Mainstay in our hastily planned trip to Southampton. The house is old, beautifully decorated and completely charming, the rooms were large and comfortable and Elizabeth could not have been more hospitable. There is a lovely pool in the back and the location is close to the beach and town.

Was lucky to get a room for $300 on Sunday in August. This was my first time staying at Bed and Breakfast and this was a great experience. Beautiful house with a wonderful hostess Elizabeth. My suite (Gins room) was huge, in fact there were two rooms with a single bed in another room. The bedroom was stylishly furnished with a king bed, beach towels, beach bag and plenty of closet space and towels. Everything was thought of, including a carafe of rum on the dressing table. The house itself is cosy and has everything you need, including spring water machine. Elizabeth kindly gave me a ride to the Coopers beach and there is a free shuttle that you can call to drop you off. You have to get a cab to get to downtown but you can easily call one and get a ride for around $9. Otherwise you can get everywhere by bike. Hope to be back!

Room tip: Gins room is a large beautiful suite. There is also a sun room at the first floor with entrance to the garden which seemed nice.
