Any self respecting foodie would steer clear. Although our waitress was very attentive. Do yourself a favor and go to Olive Garden. I should have turned around upon entry, but we had been driving around for a while and the kids were driving us nuts!! I wouldn't be surprised if I see this place on Restaurant Impossible and if not it should be..I pray I don't get sick tonight.

Waited 2 1/2 hours (we were with a large party) to get served spaghetti and when the waiter brought it (FINALLY) he had an attitude. Not the place it used to be, Awful.

Don't expect eclectic ambiance, fancy trappings or wine racks all over. This place is tired, old, worn and chugging along quite nicely. Remember you don't eat the atmosphere . They give you liver pâté, garlic bread. Soup a relish tray and excellent service. The portions are huge, the bill reasonable and great service. Isn't that what you expect in a good restaurant?
It's here ,across the bridge in South Glenn Falls.

Went to Massie's for the first time in many years with my husband and two children. It was exactly as I remembered...in fact, don't know why we haven't been there in so long. Yes, agreed with others that decor, etc. is extremely outdated. However, having spent many a vacation in the Lake George area and had terrible overpriced food, this is by far the most bang for the buck. We still enjoy the salad, soup and homemade garlic bread and liver pate that is served before each meal. In fact, we are almost too full to enjoy our meals after that! The baked ziti with sausage sauce is wonderful. We all enjoyed our meals immensely and was even happier with the check! Went to a few other places this trip that we also enjoyed, but, the check was also much higher as well. If you want really good Italian and don't want to feel ripped off while on vacation up in the Lake George area, go to Massies!
