Reviewed October 29, 2012

Just made a quick stop as we were driving down the road! Wish I had more time! Graves in circular hills were very neat! Enjoyed all tombstones!

Reviewed September 24, 2012

Peaceful, silent, full of history and free! You feel like you have stepped back on history when your in this square of grave sites. So many names are still in the area it is surprising.

This simple, lovely stone church was built iin 1697 and has been in continuous use except for the time during the revolution. Interesting burying ground surrounding the church.

“Old Dutch Church”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

I found the Old Dutch Church interesting because I enjoy looking at historic graves with their interesting messages. This is the oldest church in New York, which makes it interesting. However, some of my companions was less enamored and were bored.

“Truly Amazing Experience not to be missed”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

As a Washington Irving fan, you really need to spend time here in the gothic Old Dutch Church. Be sure to check out the wooden table by the Alter at the front of the church. it was a a donation from the Frederick Philipse, Lord of Philipse Manor across the street. We were lucky enough to get a young gentlemen as a tour guide who explained the history of the Church as well as give us an extended tour of the cemetery itself with stops at notable spots along the way. The old Dutch tombstones are just amazing as well as the three centuries of history in the Hudson Valley area. You can feel the history in this area but especially here in the Church and the burial grounds which adjoin the church.
