My husband and I booked our trip on line, and received an immediate response from Wayne the owner of the Inn. We were going to Skaneatels to stay because we were going to do a tour of the wineries and the inn is in close proximity of them. Wayne suggested we check in early so we could head out and not worry about it later. When we got to the Inn we were meet by Wayne's sister Connie who was was so nice and check in was a breeze. She showed us our room (The Merlot) which was just as beautiful if not more in person then on line. She then showed us another room (Really a suite) that they had available (Bella Rosa } that was just breathtaking it had a separate living and dining room and a kitchen with cherry cabinets and granite counters and then the bedroom with a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom .There was also a private deck outside both the bedroom and kitchen/living room that overlooked a creek. Connie then asked us if we'd like to stay in the suite for the night as it was available. Did we ever. We had the best time going to the wineries and then heading back to go to dinner at the Sherwood. The Inn is in the perfect place in town as it is very quiet and set back yet still in walking distance to just about everything in town. The breakfast the next day by Connie's daughter Danielle was excellent we had two choices and plenty of it. We had an amazing anniversary because of all the special touches by Wayne, Connie and Danielle we would rate this Inn about a 15 on a scale of 1-10. We will surely be back

We stayed two nights at the Arbor House on Thursday and Friday of Easter weekend. The inn was nice, good value as there was a 50% discount for the weeknight, and 35% for the friday night. We had the Glenora Room in the front of the Main house. It was very quiet even if the room faced the street. There are other rooms in another building in the back. Our room had a jacuzzi tub and supposedly a fireplace but it was more like a small gas stove so I didnt find that very romantic. The room was smallish but the bed was very comfortable. We found the breakfast quite ordinary (Aunt Jemima mix pancakes, eggs and link sausages and corn flakes or cheerios; orange juice (not freshly squeezed or anything) , grocery store bought bread and average coffee. We were expecting a little more character like homemade muffins or whole grain bread or something from the great bakery in town.
We loved the town, We could walk everywhere from the B & B. Had dinner at Rosalie's Cucina and at the Sherwood Inn (great oysters at the tavern!) Shops were nice. The town is close to wine country at Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake. Will definitely visit the area again!

My husband and I stayed an extra night just because we were so delighted with the warm hospitality, excellent accommodations, delicious breakfast, friendly exchange with other B&B guests, and the proximity to downtown Skaneateles - shops, restaurants, and parks. We will definitely return to the Arbor Inn, and have been raving about our stay there to our family and friends in Rochester NY. Thank you, Connie and Danielle, our gracious hosts!

Wasn't my 1st choice, wanted water view but Wow, what a great alternative. A short walk to shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Bella Rose and was pleasantly surprised. Pictures don't do it justice. Whirlpool jet tub was big enough for 2 to stretch out and not be cramped. Fireplace was very inviting. The kitchen made me want to bake cookies. What a huge island! Didn't use the deck but the summer guests will love it. We looked at 2 other rooms that were open in the back house downstairs and they were incredible too! Very impressed with this place. We'll be back. Only comment and it's not bad was the breakfast was filling but not as elegant as some other B&B's we've been to. (Note: regular cook was off so maybe she is more creative). Great winter rates!!!!!!!

Had chosen the Arbor House Inn to be given as a Christmas gift. The room and expereince met our expectations. The Inn itself is beatiful - retaining much of its original charm - ranging for etched glass door windors, moldings, hardwood floor, beautiful wrap around porch, etc. Add then the updates including a jacuzzi, fire place, wi-fi in the room and it was sheer pleasure. The bed was very comfortable, the food was great, th eownere and staff were warm and engaging.

Wayne and Ladies - thank you very, very much!

We'll be back

Being a business traveler, I tend to forget that wonderful places exist outside of hotels. This is one of them. The Arbor house reminded me to seek family owned B&B's and to take great pleasure in travel.

I have stayed in a few of the rooms and all of them have been extremely charming. In the main house, hardwood floors adorn all surfaces and updated amenities add great comfort to your stay. The kitchen is always open for use and leftovers remain if you leave too early to catch breakfast. Fresh fruits and candies are fair game as well. The back house is a newer addition and reminds me more of a luxury hotel. Each room comes decorated as you would a home with much character.

The staff is friendly and the location is tremendous. In addition, you can walk to the grocery store across the street as well as two of my all-time favorite restaurants: Bluewater Grill and Kabuki Sushi.

The only annoyance with the town of Skaneateles is the firehouse siren. Can one town really have THAT many fire emergencies after dark?? Wear earplugs or complain to the mayor.

It was nice to feel at home away from home. We enjoyed the breakfast casseroles and the blueberry pancakes.A hot cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate waiting for you every morning. The town is quiet and quaint; we enjoyed walking by the lake at sunset. The Inn has a good location- you can easily walk through the town without always having to take a car. There is only one vineyard in the immediate area, but it is a short and easy drive to Cayuga Lake for more tastings. We easily filled a few days and would be happy to go back! The owners/staff are very friendly and accomodating.
