Thank you Louise and Dale for a lovely stay at your beautiful house. The surroundings were beautiful (thank you also for the tips you gave us as to what places we should visit). We'll definitely return to Aunt Louise's Lake House next time we visit the Finger Lakes region.
We highly recommend it.

We were gifted by our son with a weekend to Aunt Louise's. Most couples would have likely waited for warm weather to enjoy Skaneateles and the lake but...after endless weeks of snow and cold, we jumped at the first chance for a change of scenery! We had a fantastic time just relaxing at our leisure! Louise and Dale provide carefree rest and comfort equal to home; no ringing phones, daily demands or schedules to keep giving us the breather we were after! A spotlessly clean home (yes, home) well decorated but not museum-like (no walking on egg shells!) highlighted by beautifully presented and deliciously creative breakfasts all presented by hosts truly pleased to have guests! Don't hesitate to sneak away during the typical "off season", you'll be delighted by how special and refreshed you'll feel!

My husband and I visited in the fall. We had a great time. Louise and Dale are great hosts, we have stayed there a couple of times and were never disappointed. Dale greeted us with a warm fire and a glass of apple cider. Louise and Dale serve a great breakfast and they go out of their way to please. The B and B is located right near the lake attractions, we really enjoyed the tour boat on the lake, you can bring your own wine. It's a one hour ride and reasonably priced. We did the wine trail many times and it is so much fun. We are hoping to go soon for another weekend get away. We feel so at home at this BandB and can't wait to return. Dale keeps the grounds with perfection and you can relax on the lovely back yard patio in the nice weather. Best by far! Barbara and Terry

Room Tip: All the rooms are great but the largest room is best by far..more room to relax ..

Our friends recommended this wonderful bed and breakfast to us, and now we will be telling our other friends about it too. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and right at home. Dale and Louise kept the fire going, which we really enjoyed after a snowy weekend. The breakfasts they served were wonderful, and the table settings were so perfect. The bed and breakfast was perfectly decorated for Christmas. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we could not have asked for better hospitality. Dale and Louise were very friendly and recommended places that we should see and restaurants that we should visit. We will definitely be making a trip back there!

Room Tip: The Sunrise Room was a good value. Although your private bathroom is just outside your room, it rea...

This is our 3rd stay in as many years. Very fun friendly couple (Dale&Louise) run this romantic B&B. very well appointed to the smallest detail. You won't be disappointed. And cannot say enough about breakfast, from the beautiful antique table settings, flowers grown by the owners to the actual food...as they say, presentation is Everthing but the food is outstanding. They even will give you ideas of what to do in the area as well as where to enjoy lunch & dinner. Looking forward to our next stay...wait,should have booked it, guess we'll have to give them a call...

Room Tip: Each has it's own "special". We like Sunrise room for garden view, but the lake view ro...

Dale and Louise are charming host/hostess. They take great pride in every aspect of their B&B.; the charming decor, comfortable rooms and brilliant breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Dale and Louise during our breakfasts and learning about why they love the Finger Lakes area so much. Would return in a heartbeat if in the area again.

This place was nothing like I expected from the other reviews. The hosts (especially Louise) were not that friendly and the house was nothing special. There were no amenities......I had to ask for something cold to drink . Other places we stayed at had coffee, tea, cold drink available at all times. They had nothing here except for a decanter of sherry in the hallway to be shared by all guests. The worst was the breakfast. We all had to eat at the same time...9:00 a.m. Dale actually had us guessing where the different juices were from.....like who cares? Eventually, we got the breakfast consisting of "coddled" eggs an English muffin and a couple pieces of bacon. Wow! I waited an hour for that? The eggs were too runny. Another guest and myself said we couldn't eat them like that and they cooked them longer. The whole production took over an hour.. Because of their ridiculously long breakfast we missed the house tour at MacKenzie-Childs in Aurora, NY and there wasn't another tour for 2 hours. So we didn't get to go on that tour which, by the way, was one of the main reasons for visiting. I was very disappointed and angry. And, this was my birthday. I had told Louise that on the phone and thought she would at least wish me a happy birthday. She just ignored it. A really friendly person!!!!!!!! And we paid $197 for a mediocre room.
