We knew this as Joe's Pasta Garage, now called The Garage Eatz. The dining room is a little on the dark side which gives it a romantic feel. One could believe he or she was in the iinards of an old garage. The food is very good and served in very generous proportions. The chef is very creative and offers some very good specials. Their pasta dishes are excellent.

We came after walking, biking and swimming in Skaneateles. We were hot and sweaty and really hungry! Our waitstaff was very friendly and answered a question about a new beer on the menu after consulting with the owner. We had the fried potato salad appetizer, which was lighter than you'd expect and very tasty, along with the calamari (extended a bit with deep-fried banana peppers). I loved the pulled pork sandwich -- even the bread used was a thoughtful and delicious choice. My hungry son enjoyed The Garage Chicken Sandwich with a yummy red pepper glaze. My other son ordered the buffalo wing pizza -- it was a little too spicy for him. My husband had a seafood and pasta dish; the sauce he chose was a little sweet, but the seafood was excellent.

It was a little expensive for a lunch (they don't have a separate, lower-priced/smaller portioned lunch menu) but the generous portions and excellent ingredients (many locally sourced) were worth it. We'll definitely return,

Every month we get to Skaneateles and Mar Beth and I have to dine at the Garage Eatz. The specialty pizzas are like nothing available anywhere else, with the most creative ingredients. We have tried them all and each is a favorite. The homemade desserts are worth the visit. And the best bonus? Take out!

Unique restaurant located in a renovated garage. We arrived early for our dinner reservation and were greeted warmly by the owner who showed us to our table. Great, fun atmosphere!

The server was charming and attentive. Of course, we tried the fried potato salad and found it delicious!

Four garlic knots (rolls) were served. They were a little greasy.

The broccoli Alfredo was very good but too large a serving for one person. The chicken mozzarella was satisfactory--the red sauce was good but the chicken was overdone. No salad with entree.

They offer wine, beer and hard cider but no liquor because of zoning ordinances--they are next door to a church!

Prices were moderate.
