Being raised in the Fingerlakes region makes you privey to the many charming lakeside eateries and all it's charm. Non more charming and nostalgic is the Manadana Inn which has attracted local pattons and out of town guests for over a century. The restaurant which offers traditional continental cuisine has recently been purchased by one of it's long time employees named James and he has freshened up the place without sacrificing any of the antiques, traditional memorablilia and nostalgic charm of the original ownership. Truely one of the last of Skaneateles Lakes relic haunts that preserves a slice of yesterday by keeping many of the menu favorites like the cracker crumb scrod and steamed clams but offers up some delicious fresh new items like fried green tomatos, not to be missed and saiteed soft shell crab and frogs legs prepared by chef Luke. Make sure to pair that with one of the great wine selections that the owner has carefully hand selected. And don't think of leaving without finishing with strawberry ruhbarb crisp and home made vanilla bean ice cream mmmmmmm.
