This is a "tradition" on our wine trips! Fantastic food and menu--also has a bakery in the back. And now they do take reservations which is wonderful!! Service is great and servers are very knowledgeable about both food and wine.

“The best”

Went to this highly recommended restaurant and was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was wonderful. Fireplace, candles on the table, sitting at a corner table - along with great food - what more could you ask for.

I frequently pre-plan possible dinner choices prior to traveling, relying on Trip Advisor. However, we found Rosalie's through a strong recommendation from a learned fellow behind the wine bar at a nearby Finger Lakes winery. We were then enroute to staying at an inn just next door to Rosalie's. We were totally pleased by our visit and dinner and I am surprised to now read some of the more negative reviews on this site. We did not have a reservation on a mid-week evening and had no trouble getting in, although there were very few empty tables.

We began our excellent culinary adventure by sharing a tomato/mozzarella caprese. It was excellent. My wife ordered veal picata and I chose a house special rigatoni. Both dishes were huge and excellent. The rigatoni was bathed in a meat sauce that had chunks of meat the size of my thumb. The veal was actually the better dish of the two, so thin, tender and tasty. The veal was finished, the rigatoni could not be. Simply too much food. Unfortunately because we were staying at the inn, we could not take leftovers, nor did we have room for the deserts which were on display and looked wonderful.

The wine list was quite good and reasonably priced. We are hoping to get back to Skaneateles next year as we also loved the inn (separate review). When we do, be assured that we will again dine at Rosalie's.

“Perfect on a cold October night”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I am not sure what the situation was behind some of the negative reviews of this restaurant, but my husband and I had a wonderful meal and experience. We were warmly greeted and seated by the fireplace (a welcome treat after a day of hiking in 50 degree weather). The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and filling. The roast pork with greens and pear/goat cheese crostini was wonderful. It was a perfect end to a chilly October day (as was the cannoli)!

This was a very bad experience. Came highly recommended, the place was packed, so they must be doing something right. Both meals were greatly lacking, did not charge us for one meal and they could have cared less.
