“Exceeded Our Expectations”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

Found this small hotel on this site a month or so ago. Booked two nights here for part of our annual autumn fall foliage trip. When we checked in, the owner was most polite and took a good amount of time to explain all the features of the property. We had a downstairs room overlooking the front porch. Very quaint and excellently maintained. The room was excellent. All the amenities we required. A nice touch was the basket of complimentary snacks in the room. There is also an "honor kitchen" located on the 2nd floor. Even though the rooms did not have individual refrigerators as many hotels now have, there is a refirgerator located in the upstairs kitchen. Also, complimentary beverages were also available upstairs. There also appeared to be a washer/dryer upstairs that is available for use. I didnt see any coin boxes on these so I can assume that these are free to use while you are staying here. The hotel is located within the village about a block from most restaurants and shops. Overall, an excellent hotel in a picture-postcard village in upstate NY. This place will be our first choice n the future when we are in the area.

Very outdated furniture. I did not want to put my clothes on the chairs since all furniture was old. Updated bathroom and was clean. The only positives were quiet, we could walk to the lake and somewhere to eat. I would stay again but not for that enormous price. I could have stayed in Auburn at the brand new Hilton for 106 vs. 170 here per night. Secretary lady very nice; however, the man sitting in the office with her was extremely grumpy every time I had to ask a question, which was only 3 times on the first day. I am sure the owners are fantastic, but the male staff member at the computer should not be in any service organization. Rolling eyes and arrogance is unprofessional and I should not have seen that side of this employee. The cleaning staff assigned to our room was outstanding.

We stayed overnight on the last weekend in August so we could bicycle on the beautiful, hilly back roads around Skaneateles. Our hosts at the Boutique Hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the first floor was spacious, spotlessly clean, and quiet. The Hotel sits one street over from the main drag. We could easily walk to everything in town. We appreciated the complimentary treats--especially after a long bike ride. We sat on the front porch later in the evening with a glass of wine (the liquor store is an easy walk over the little bridge to the right). The lake is also one street away. It was lovely. There is no view of the lake from the hotel, but the street was quiet and pleasant. The bike shop is right across the street from the hotel. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, but there is one you can use on the second floor, as well as ice and drinks and extra snacks in the little kitchen. There is even a washer dryer you can use if needed. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: The room we stayed in was wheelchair accessible, which we didn't need, but the bathroom was extr...

Four of us went on a short holiday in the Finger Lakes area and were fortunate to spend a night in this hotel. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet, within a short walk to restaurants, shops and boat tours and the honesty kitchen is a plus. It is easy to find and has an excellent parking area.

My husband and I took a last minute getaway and we fortunate to be able to stay at this quaint hotel. Very clean, very comfortable and wonderfully close to the downtown area and boat launch.

We will be sure to stay here in the future. This hotel and this wonderful little town have become one of our favorites!

Room Tip: Loved room 201 with the jacuzzi just wish it were a little larger.

We went for two nights but could have stayed for a week. Very clean & comfortable rooms. The room included a fridge and microwave too! Complmentary juice and coffee are waiting, and If you are running late for check-in no problem they will make arrangements. It is an easy walk to everthing in downtown Skaneateles.

Room Tip: Room 201 Jacuzzi Suite top of the stairs overlooks street but still quiet.
