We have been to the San Souci in Scotia for breakfast before but never dinner so we decided to try it out - we got there a little after 5p we were the only ones in the restaurant - a few people at the bar - which made us a little worried - we both got the chicken parm with penne - excellent - comes with a salad and warm home made rolls - very good.
By the time we were leaving at 6p more people were coming in - Service was good - we will be back!!

Not much on decor but the food here is excellent. It is hometown Italian food at its best. I love the lasagna but the other pasta dishes are just as good!

San Souci reminds me of the small family run, neighborhood Italian restaurants we ate in growing up. Nothing fancy, good portions, reasonable prices and good service. This is old fashioned red sauce and pasta type of place. Excellent staff, good well poured drinks but very limited wine selection. That is my only complaint; they need a good house wine, even if it is one of the boxed. I had a very good veal parm, real veal and breaded on site, wife had stuffed shells and loved them. This is the place we fall back on when we can't think of another place to go or are eating late and need a good meal but don't want to drive far.
